Are you fulfilling all you need to in this world?

Do you make the same Cheshbon Hanefesh (accounting of the soul) as everyone else?

No.

You are unique!

Your Cheshbon HaNefesh will vary according to your level of intelligence, perception and clarity of understanding.

Look at yourself.

Are you fulfilling your obligations to serve the Exalted Creator according to:

(1) The blessings you have in common
with everyone else

(2) The blessings that are specific to you.

How is the obligation of Cheshbon HaNefesh
passed down to you through the generations?

The Torah says:

“Know this day!
(The day the Jews left Egypt)

Your children did not know or
personally experience this deliverance
from HaShem your G-d.

This day is for you
who have seen all the great wonders
HaShem has performed
(Deuteronomy 11: 2-7).”

This means:

You (the generation that left Egypt) saw the wonders HaShem did with your own eyes.

You were saved from the plagues
in Egypt.

Therefore, HaShem’s demands on you are much greater than on your children.

Your service of HaShem needs to be
with thankfulness for the favors
He has done for you.

However, the same principle still applies.

To this very day you need
to see all the goodness in your life.

You should think deeply into this.

What does Hashem expect of you for everything
He has given you?
