As We Open the Doors of the Ancient Temple

(Reflections on the Haftorah for Tetzaveh)

( Ezekiel  43:10 -27)

As we opened the doors of the ancient temple,

Memories stream throughout the generations.

Divine chords echo ethereal music heard

On inward channels of perception, revived.

Priests dressed in white robes administer

Holy rites, prescribed as described to rejuvenate

The spirit to revelations of peace and security

For a vision to encompass humanity.

As incense and offerings cascade above an altar,

Wine and scents cast a three hundred-sixty degree  luminescence

Of what could be, rather than what is

For a world awaiting a new tomorrow,

For its children and generations to auger

A new era that projects the ultimate light for all.
