Alon Stopel, Ph.D., is the Chairman of the Innovation Authority and Chief Scientist for Innovation at the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology. Previously, he served as VP and Chief Scientist at Elbit Systems and held senior roles at the Ministry of Defense’s R&D Directorate. With extensive experience in business development and international R&D collaborations, he has led global research initiatives across civil and military sectors. Dr. Stopel holds a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from Tel Aviv University and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion.
