Jeremiah Unterman is the Academic Editor of the new series, the Koren Tanakh of the Land of Israel, and was a Resident Scholar at the Herzl Institute. He has been a professor of Jewish studies or Tanakh at Yeshiva University and elsewhere and is the author of Justice for All: How the Jewish Bible Revolutionized Ethics, published in 2017 by the Jewish Publication Society. He has published over a hundred articles in scholarly journals and encyclopedic works, plus a scholarly book on Jeremiah the prophet. He received semicha through private studies and served in the IDF. He also was the Director of the Association of Modern Orthodox Day Schools and Yeshiva High Schools in N. America, as well as Director of the Greater Toronto Board of Jewish Education.
