Lars Fischer was educated at Queen Mary, University of London, and UCL. Following lectureships in modern European and German history at King’s College London and UCL (2004–2009), he was appointed academic director of the Centre for the Study of Jewish-Christian Relations in Cambridge (2009–2013). He served as secretary of the British Association for Jewish Studies from 2010 to 2012 and as councillor of the Royal Historical Society from 2012 to 2015. He now lives in Berlin, where he runs the History Practice.
