Maisam Jaljuli is CEO of Tsofen-Tashbik, a collaborative Arab-Jewish non-profit that develops hi-tech in the Arab community as a catalyst for economic development and shared society in Israel. She has long been a dedicated feminist and social activist, and for many years she has been deeply involved in the promotion of workers' rights, women's rights, and a shared and equal society for Arabs and Jews in Israel.
Before joining Tsofen-Tashbik, Jaljuli served as Chairperson of the women’s organization Na’amat while also serving as co-Chair of the Sikkuy-Aufoq organization and as a board member of the Itach-Maaki: Women’s Lawyers for Social Justice. Ms. Jaljuli is a board member of the Association for Civil Rights in Israel, and leader in the grassroots movement 'Standing Together'.
Ms. Jaljuli is a recipient of the New Israel Fund's Gallanter Prize for inspiring social leadership and of the Walking Man award for activism. She holds a B.A. in Criminology and Sociology, and an MA in Educational Leadership and lives in Tirah with her husband and their three children.
