Michael Tobin

Psychologist exploring memory, identity, and moral courage
About Me
Dr. Michael S. Tobin has lived in Israel since 1986 and has spent more than fifty years as a clinical psychologist and author. He began writing at age twelve with a play about the Warsaw Ghetto, an early exploration of the questions of memory, identity, and moral courage that continue to shape his work. He is the recipient of The Free Press Senior Essay Prize and the Silver Prize in the Nonfiction Book Awards for his memoir *Riding the Edge*. He serves on the Advisory Board of The ProHuman Foundation, founded by Daryl Davis. His next novel, *Resonance*, co-authored with Daniel Chertoff, will be published by Amplify/Subplot this October.
