Bears from Bergenfield welcomes Daisy troop from Closter

Rabbi Claire welcomes Brownie Daisy troop from Closter, led by Hae Kyung Kim,  all who care enough to want to make a difference.  They donated 100+  stuffed toys  and animals to our cause. The donations will be brought by myself and my husband Larry to children awaiting us with open arms. The toys are being redistributed to One Family and Operation Suitcase, both located in Jerusalem, just in time for the holidays.
Who would ever have imagined that we might have collected so many toys and in time for the holidays? Now, the 3rd and 4th graders are gearing up to collect for BearsfromBergenfield on the next go around. They hope to collect along side Washington school, located in Bergenfield, in honor of the 100th day of school. If anyone else would like to join us in our efforts, please contact Rabbi Claire at lgcg98@aol.com. You just never know who you might make smile with delight. How nice it would be to add another smile to this world.

All pictures were either taken by me or sent to me with permission to reprint.

Donate a bear. Show you care.

Thank you so bear-y much.

Shalom,

Rabbi Claire and her not yet 200,000 bear collection.

Your donation can make all the difference.

About the Author
Rabbi Claire conceived of the concept Bears from Bergenfield upon a routine check of the Israeli staff at camp SLC August of 2001. She realized that the world needed to wake up and become aware of the suffering the Israelis were enduring as the Palestinians continued their intifada against them. After 18 years and 195,000 teddy bears amassed and redistributed, Rabbi Claire is searching for more public platforms to proliferate and advance her message, that Jewish lives matter, especially with a teddy bear. Rabbi Claire lives in Bergen County with her husband of 38 years, Larry, and their 4 children, Sam, Shira, Seth, and Sarah Rose, plus their incoming son-in-law Ivan. For further information of how to get involved with this endearing project, contact her at lgcg98@aol.com.
