Ben-Gvir – I Am on Your Side

“There on the Temple Mount exists the Divine Presence of the Holy One, Blessed Be He! Who could give this up? Who could think differently?” – Rabbi Shlomo Goren
“There on the Temple Mount exists the Divine Presence of the Holy One, Blessed Be He! Who could give this up? Who could think differently?” – Rabbi Shlomo Goren

“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her vindication goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a burning torch.” Psalm 62:1

Where is the Holy Conviction? Who doused the Holy Fire within you? Are no men allowed to proclaim truth and justice in the name of God anymore without everyone turning on him? “Shhh, be silent” they say. “Do your job and stop drawing attention.” Since when is the one brave enough to walk into a battlefield the one that gets condemned for bravery? I read the Bible because it is true, and it is my right to do so. I worship the Holy God of Israel because He is the only God, worthy to be praised and worshiped and feared above all else. We shall not fear man nor man’s opinion when we have the Word of God as our shield. I will bend the knee to God wherever I choose and not fear what the law of man tells me, when the law of God is above man. The precepts of men are nothing compared to the truth of scripture, and I will hold that up as I lay me down. The Temple Mount belongs to God’s chosen people, Mount Zion is your Holy Hill. If God is for you, who can be against you? “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about His people, from this time forth and for evermore. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous put forth their hands to do wrong.” Psalm 125:1-3

I admire the Holy Conviction of Itamar Ben-Gvir to proclaim the right of the Jewish people to pray at the Temple Mount. I admire anyone that sees God’s ways over man’s ways. It takes great stones to march up to the most holy place and say it is your right to do so. David was of small stature, but he knew with the Lord on his side he could take down Goliath in the Lord’s strength, not his own. I wonder if he ever looked around and wondered why he alone stood up against a giant. David knew in his heart what could be achieved when you put all your faith in the God of Israel, even if it costs you your life. David asked the men standing near him, “What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and removes this disgrace from Israel? Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God? 1 Samuel 17:26

When you search the depths of your heart, what does it tell you? The mouth speaks what the heart is full of, and Ben-Gvir speaks of the Jewish people’s right to go up to the Temple Mount to pray, and so this statement is true and just. Surely there are others that feel this deep seeded knowledge of truth as their God-given right. Are the masses so resolved to follow the current state of affairs “status quo” in their land? Since when is hiding your lamp under a bed better than putting it in the window? Even amid war, when all seems to be crumbling around you, there shall be great pride in being a Jew. Endurance is your backpack; it is always on you. It follows you everywhere you go. Israel is already at war to take back their territory, maybe we should put the reacquisition of the Temple Mount on the list of “I’m taking back what is mine.” I must be made up of something different than those that fold so easily when told they are not allowed to do something. If I lost my life for my faith, then I say Hallelujah I’m going home! I don’t think Ben-Gvir is so far right as those who are so far wrong. He speaks the truth, and the truth is never popular. It makes people mad. The truth puts a mirror up in people’s faces when they don’t want to look at their flaws, when they don’t want to see what’s blatantly obvious to everyone else but them. “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32 It’s a good saying isn’t it? The one that said it is the one. “Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth? Galatians 4:16 Perhaps everyone is just waiting out the promise, instead of creating an Ishmael when God promised there was an Isaac on the way.

“Only hours after Rabbi Goren blew the shofar on the Mount, joy turned to dust and ashes: former Defense Minister Moshe Dayan ordered the proud flag removed from the mosque and gave the Temple Mount to the Muslim Waqf.” – Article written on May 27, 2019, by Maj. A.Y. Katsof

For a little while you will have to wait, but I assure you what God has spoken will come to pass. It is not slow in coming as some count slowness. It is foretold, and this will not be a surprise but a fulfillment of prophecy when the Al-Aqsa Mosque comes down for the rebuilding of the Third Temple. That mosque is coming down at the time the Lord has set for it, and it will be done with His strength, even if He uses the jawbone of a donkey to achieve it, it’s coming down. What once was yours, will be yours again. It is only a matter of God’s perfect timing. “For behold, days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will restore the fortunes of my people, Israel and Judah, says the Lord, and I will bring them back to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall take possession of it.” Jeremiah 30:3

There was great pride in 1967 when Commander Motta Gur’s voice came over a crackling radio broadcast to proclaim, “The Temple Mount is in our hands!” Alas, this was not God’s timing for it to remain in their possession. His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are above our thoughts. It would not be called faith if we could see everything. As he recalled those that gave their life to fight for what they believed in, Rabbi Yisrael Ariel mournfully said, “The sole commandment in the Bible for which we are commanded to put ourselves in danger, and even to be killed for it, is the commandment of conquering the land of Israel.” His conviction and love for the Holy Land partnered with his duty to liberate the Temple Mount is what led Rabbi Ariel to establish the Temple Mount Institute in 1987. He stated that giving away any part of the Holy Land was not an option, and so his conviction drove him forward to revive the ancient practices of the service in the Temple, with his main goal being the building of the Third Temple. “Then the nations will know that I the Lord make Israel holy, when my sanctuary is among them forever.” Ezekiel 37:28

Throughout history, and going forward, there will be great men and woman that utter the word, “no.” They will be shamed and shunned, and their name will be marked as “an instigator” a “troublemaker” or one that incites violence. Great and courageous are they that walk against the crowd and rub against the grain. They know the hate that will come against them but choose to continue fighting because they are sure of the truth. Their conviction is what firmly plants them and keeps them rooted as they stand out and are set apart from a world of followers that are blown away by the wind. “What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? Let him go back to his house, lest the heart of his fellows melt as his heart.” Deuteronomy 20:8 If you are not of those that will lay down every part of yourself for the sake of what is right and true, then go home. Shut the door and wait, because there will always be someone that cares more about their faith than they do the safety of their life, and more about the reputation of their God, than the reputation of their own name. There is a Holy Fire of righteousness that burns within some of us that we are ok with being consumed by for His sake.

About the Author
I am a Christian author, podcaster, and blogger. I was born, raised and still reside in Texas. I have 5 grown children and 3 grandchildren. I co-authored my first book, The Call, after the Lord re-directed our lives back to the call that was made upon my husband Jeremy over ten years ago in the middle of church. Jeremy was sitting in church with our family of 7 when he was called by the Lord to "build a church." Through the stories in our book, and our podcast, we witness to others that there is a living God that still speaks to His people, and there is a very real enemy that is working against him. We recount the prophetic dreams and visions as well as encounters with the enemy, in addition to the sufferings and victories to a life submitted to Jesus Christ. My influence of writing reflects to whom I belong, as a child of God. All that I write comes from the authority of the one that created us, and it is to Him that I answer to. I pull scripture from the Bible and apply it to this day as we witness prophetic events taking place, and I give credit to the true Author, the Holy God of Israel. His words are true, and His judgement is righteous. I put the word of God in front of the reader so that He remains at the center of every conversation and situation we find ourselves in today. He is the creator of all things and His will be done. We were called by God to build a church over ten years ago. Since then, we have received dreams and visions concerning Israel, Egypt, Russia, and the fall of the US in the end times. We as a people are witnessing prophetic events come to pass in this day, and we need to put God at the center of the conversation.
