Billionaire Butchers of Gaza and the Cowards in Canberra

We live in an age in which those who scream loudest are heard most clearly, and those who suffer in silence are quickly forgotten unless, of course, they are Jews.

While Palestinians in Gaza scavenge for food, their rulers sunbathe in Doha.

While Hamas builds tunnels under hospitals, its leaders holiday in Istanbul.

And while Jewish families bury the charred remains of their children, the Australian government finds the courage to speak at last, and predictably to scold the Jews for defending themselves.

There is something grotesquely modern about Hamas it is a death cult with a billion dollar revenue stream.

Its leadership resides in luxury abroad Khaled Mashal, one of its top figures, enjoys a personal net worth estimated between US $4 and $5 billion. Not earned through innovation or intellect, but through theft of aid, of dignity, of life.

Let us quantify this:

One billion dollars could buy 2.5 million tonnes of flour.

Mashal alone could provide bread 20 billion loaves of it for every man, woman and child in Gaza.

But he does not.

Why? Because Hamas is not a government. It is a mafia with a martyrdom complex. It exists not to feed its people but to film their funerals.

And yet, somehow, this criminal entity is treated by Australia’s Labor Party as though it were merely a misunderstood social movement perhaps with “legitimate grievances.”

After the October 7 pogrom when Israeli women were raped, mutilated, and paraded like war trophies, Australia’s government said little and did less.

No official condemnation of Hamas.

No mention of the raped.

No demand for the release of hostages.

No call for the disbandment of a terrorist army that filmed its atrocities for social media.

Instead, Penny Wong and Anthony Albanese trained their fire not on the rapists, but on their victims. In a coordinated performance of diplomatic cowardice, Australia joined the choir of moral equivocators, accusing Israel of being “dehumanising,” “disproportionate,” and “dangerous.”

Not dangerous, mind you, to terrorists. But to “civilians” the term now used to describe those who willingly shelter rocket launchers in nurseries and dig mass graves for Israeli children with Western aid.

The modern West has acquired an extraordinary talent, the ability to mourn selectively.

When Ukrainian civilians suffer under Russian bombardment, we light up our landmarks in blue and yellow.

When Palestinians die, often at the hands of the very men who claim to protect them, we rush to blame the Jews.

In Australia:

Jewish schools were placed under lockdown.

Jewish businesses were defaced.

Protesters shouted “Gas the Jews” with impunity.

No charges. No outrage. No speeches.

The Opera House was lit in Israeli colours for 24 hours then darkened, lest the mob become offended. One could be forgiven for thinking that antisemitism is not merely tolerated in modern Australia, but quietly endorsed so long as it arrives draped in the fashionable garments of “anti-Zionism.”

This is not mere confusion. It is not the product of diplomatic naïveté. It is deliberate.

To name Hamas as genocidal would be to admit that evil is not a Western construct but a universal phenomenon.

To acknowledge that Jewish women were raped would be to unravel the fiction that Western men are the world’s primary oppressors.

To support Israel would be to concede that the values of liberal democracy equality, rights, reason are not universal, but overwhelmingly Western, and now under siege.

But Canberra cannot allow that. For it would mean siding with the civilisation it is ashamed to represent.

Israel is being told to stop defending itself.

Jews in the diaspora are being told to lower their heads.

And the death cults are being told without a single word that the West is too paralysed by its own guilt to resist.

And so they will strike again.

Because when our leaders are too afraid to name evil, too paralysed to support civilisation, and too desperate to appease barbarians, they do not preserve peace.

They ensure war.

And the blood will not be on Israel’s hands.

It will be on ours.
