International program at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel includes a fully funded campus visit and the opportunity to conduct research alongside internationally renowned scientists. Applications are open until November 15.

The Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel is accepting applications for its Outstanding Postdoctoral Program, an international initiative that offers exceptional researchers the opportunity to develop scientific projects at one of the world’s most prestigious research centers. Open to scientists from a range of countries, including Brazil, the program seeks to attract talented researchers with innovative ideas and the potential to contribute to advances across multiple fields of knowledge.

The initiative consists of two stages, providing participants with the opportunity to become acquainted with the Institute’s scientific environment and, subsequently, to conduct high-level research within a setting defined by academic excellence, innovation, and international collaboration.

In the first stage, selected candidates will have the opportunity to take part in a fully funded visit to the Weizmann Institute campus in Rehovot, Israel. During their stay, participants will be able to meet potential host laboratories, connect with researchers, explore opportunities for scientific collaboration, and experience the Institute’s dynamic and collaborative research environment firsthand.

The second stage includes the award of a three-year Excellence Fellowship for researchers selected to carry out their projects at the Institute. The program provides funding, academic freedom, and the conditions necessary for postdoctoral fellows to dedicate themselves fully to research, working alongside internationally recognized scientists and benefiting from access to state-of-the-art scientific infrastructure.

Internationally recognized for its contributions to science, the Weizmann Institute of Science conducts research in fields including biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and computer science, among others. The institution is known for its multidisciplinary approach and commitment to fundamental research, fostering discoveries that advance scientific and technological knowledge.

For Brazilian researchers, the program represents a valuable opportunity to expand their international experience, build connections with world-class research groups, and accelerate their academic and scientific careers.
