Ministry of Education Announces Appointment of New Head of “Home Economics and Household Management” Learning Unit
Today’s Minister of Education (MoE) announced the creation of a new educational learning unit: Home Economics and Household Management Skills and the appointment of Sara Netanyahu as its director. Madame Netanyahu, as she will be formally called, is an internationally-renowned home and residence manager. Her ability to oversee and protect at least two (that we know of) residences in parallel makes her a fitting selection for this new role.
This will be an experimental program offered to 10th, 11th, and 12th graders through the summer in an effort to encourage high school students to take their distance learning seriously during the hot summer months in compensation for the days missed earlier in the beautiful spring weather when we were all locked down at home. Course study will focus on: menu planning and ingredient procurement, take away vs cooking in, household staff management and morale, dry vs wet cleaning, repair or replace, and so forth.
[Because we all need a little humor in our lives right now, right?]
