Chairman Dayan speaks truth to power

During the Holocaust, Lithuania accounted for less than 3.7% of the total number of murdered Jews in Europe. But that did not satisfy Lithuanians, they even traveled to neighboring countries to voluntarily murder Jews there also. At Jew-murdering, Lithuania bulldozed past every other European country to claim the highest murder rate.

Lithuania wishes that the murder of 96.4% of Lithuania’s Jews will not serve as their national identity, so they devised a plan to sweep their own crimes under the Nazi rug, and claim to be rescuers.

The slaughter in Lithuania was almost complete. There were so few Jewish survivors that there was almost nobody to report the facts. Lithuanian revisionists correctly believed –

“Why should the world focus on, or even care about such a small country with so few survivors?”

“Who will question our false narrative?”

So, the Lithuanian Government simply re-wrote the story line.

The Lithuanian Government came close to being correct. They almost got away with it. Almost. Academics have long known the facts. However, in the face of a massive media onslaught by the Lithuanian Government, the general population had no idea of the truth.

Chairman of Yad Vashem, Ambassador Dani Dayan, one of the world’s most authoritative and respected voices on the Holocaust, addressed the Lithuanian Parliament on September 21, 2023. In clear and certain terms, speaking directly to the Prime Minister, Speaker of the Parliament, and Members of Parliament, Dayan clearly deconstructed Lithuania’s Holocaust deceptions.

In his speech, Dayan invoked the name of Yitzhak Arad, his predecessor at Yad Vashem. In 2012, Arad exposed Lithuania’s efforts to falsify their Holocaust history. In response to Arad’s expose, the Lithuanian Government defamed Arad, and attempted to portray those who survived as guilty of war crimes for having survived. Lithuania has never punished a Holocaust perpetrator for a single crime against a Jew, and instead, vilified and dehumanized Survivors for surviving.

Referring to Lithuania’s projecting of the 0.04% of Lithuanians who saved Jews as the fictional totality of Lithuania’s Holocaust identity, Dayan said: “But Lithuanian history during the Holocaust also included vile perpetrators. And of course, many many bystanders. All must be remembered – accurately, proportionally and in context.”

Lithuania has constructed their false narrative into their alibi for genocide. The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance defined this as distortion; Dayan demanded Lithuania stop!

Dayan named three Lithuanian Holocaust perpetrators the government of Lithuania deems their national heroes: Jonas Noreika, Kazys Skirpa and Juozas Krikstaponis.

  1. Jonas Noreika – Just like Hitler and Stalin, Noreika was a “desk murderer”. He issued the orders, rather than pulling a trigger himself. Up to 14,500 Lithuanian Jews were murdered under his command.
  2. Kazys Skirpa – proposed the Holocaust to the Nazis. He called for the “elimination” of Jews. The Lithuanian Government identified this as “an incident of antisemitism”, but claims that he “meant” that Jews should be deported, not murdered. After Skirpa’s call for genocide, 96.4% of Lithuanian Jews were murdered.
  3. Krikstaponis – mass genocidal murderer of Jews in Lithuania and Belarus. Even Nazis complained about the extent of his savagery. Lithuania admits he was a murderer but have made no move to revoke their national honors for him.

Dayan said: “Such names as Noreika, Skirpa, Krikštaponis do not add to the honor of your nation, nor to its adherence to international norms of appropriate national remembrance.”

Lithuania is the only country in the world to have gone to court to defend the good reputation of a genocidal murderer. They re-wrote murderers such as Noreika (and many others) into rescuers and denied their crimes. This is Holocaust denial, revision, distortion and inversion. Dayan demanded they stop.

Lithuania boasts an entire government agency (The Genocide Center) dedicated to rewriting their Holocaust of Jews into a palatable fiction and to perpetuate their denials into fact. Until now, Lithuania’s national strategy has been to never address facts. They shift responsibility for truth from one office to another, so that no facts can be brought to light. Their legal strategy is to deny the hearing of facts, and to dismiss cases. Government employees intimidate and threaten those who oppose their Holocaust lies.

Even the US Congress was stonewalled when Congress objected to Lithuania’s Holocaust deceptions. Lithuania’s tactic is to never acknowledge protests, and so, therefore, they never need to respond. And thus, neither of the following two letters have ever been acknowledged.

Congressional letter to Lithuanian Prime Minister Skvernelis dated September 25, 2019

Congressional letter to Lithuanian Ambassador Audra Plepyte dated May 25,2021

Dayan faced the Lithuanian Prime Minister. He faced the Lithuanian Parliament. And Dayan spoke truth to power. Dayan’s words are now seared into the historical record. Lithuania is a Holocaust revisionist state. Lithuania can no longer feign ignorance, nor can they ever easily avoid the truth again. Their charade is over.

We simply demand the truth from Lithuania, nothing more.
