Challenging Questions for Donald Trump That Can Help Defeat Him

Donald Trump has been getting away with many lies and misrepresentations during his presidential campaign. Below are some challenging questions, mainly on issues that generally are insufficiently considered, that can help defeat him. Suggestions for other questions are very welcome.

Mr. Trump, you claim that you will make better deals with other countries, but won’t your diplomatic efforts be harmed by your eagerness to tear up an agreement signed by leaders of all 195 nations at the December 2016 Paris climate change conference?

Mr. Trump, you claim that you will reduce terrorism, but why are you ignoring the concerns of military experts that climate change will increase the potential for terrorism, as tens of millions of desperate refugees flee from severe climate events?

Mr. Trump, you often claim that other leaders are stupid, but how smart is it for you to ignore the conclusions of science academies worldwide, 97% of climate experts, and 99.8% of peer-reviewed articles in respected scientific journals that climate change is largely due to human activities and is a great threat to humanity.

Mr. Trump, now that we are in the third consecutive year of record temperatures worldwide, with 14 of the 15 warmest years occurring during this century, with glaciers worldwide and polar ice caps melting rapidly, with some U.S. coastal cities already experiencing flooding during high tides, and with severe climate events happening somewhere in the world almost daily, how can you be in denial about climate change and why is the Republican Party in the U.S. the only major political party in the world in denial?

Mr. Trump, what policies do you support that differ from those that had such disastrous results during the George W. Bush administration, including converting a three-year major surplus that had the U.S. on track to completely wipe out the total federal debt into a major deficit, creating very few net jobs, and leaving the country on the brink of a depression, with an average of 750,000 jobs being lost per month when they left office.

Mr. Trump, you have been very critical of Democratic economic policies, so how do you explain that the U.S. has now had 76 consecutive months of private job growth, with over 14 million net jobs created, despite consistent Republican obstruction of efforts to get our country out of the ditch they left us in, by consistently voting no on and filibustering many Democratic proposals to improve the economy, some of which they previously supported?

Mr. Trump, with the American Society of Civil Engineers giving our aging, crumbling infrastructure a grade of D+, do you support Republican efforts to block legislation to repair our infrastructure?

Mr. Trump, can you deny that the Tea Party has shifted the Republican Party so far to the right that Eisenhower, Nixon, and even Reagan would not recognize it or get nominated by it today?
