Dear Sec of State Antony Blinken

Are you a Jewish American or an American Jew or have you rejected your Jewish roots including your Holocaust survivor step father? That is the same dilemma that faced Henry Kissinger, a Holocaust survivor himself, during the Yom Kippur War 50 years ago. He also participated in an arms embargo against Israel during their time of need. He was also surrounded in the State Department by Arabists. In the end, he caved into Golda’s threat of annihilation of the Egyptian’s Third Army in the Sinai and supplied Israel with the necessary armaments.

Sadly, not much has changed in 50 years. The Biden administration has promoted many Palestinians in the State Department (when moderate Arabs now see Israel as an ally and not a threat). You have been threatening the democratically elected Israeli government with withholding necessary arms to destroy Hamas. You even claim that Hamas can not be destroyed when their charter is to destroy the only Jewish nation and they have vowed to repeat October 7th again and again.

You worry about the civilians in Gaza. Did you worry about the civilians in Afghanistan during that disgraceful withdrawal? Do you worry about the hundreds of thousands of civilians being killed in Sudan and other African countries as I write this? Do you worry about the civilians that the Houthis have killed since you removed them from the list of terrorist organizations? Do you worry about the civilians that are killed regularly in Iran for speaking against the Ayatollah?

Your only mission is to pressure Israel into a 2 state solution with the Palestinians that the Palestinians have rejected multiple times since Oslo was signed. Ask former President Clinton (a Democrat) about the offers that the Palestinians have rejected because their only interest is in a Palestine “From the River to the Sea” – i.e. elimination of the State of Israel. (As Douglas Murray put it so well: the only 2 state solution Biden is concerned with are Michigan and Minnesota.)

Instead of focusing on “the day after”, you should focus on where to send the 1 million “civilian” Gazans eighty percent of whom support what Hamas did on October 7th. You should be questioning Egypt as to why they did nothing to shut the 50+ tunnels supplying Hamas with weapons from the Sinai. You should question the US relationship with Qatar that Obama set up allowing Hamas to live there in luxury until now. (You should also question Qatar’s donations to the American universities that are teaching anarchy.) You should question Turkey as to why they are now “Best buddies” with the Hamas leadership and what their responsibilities should be as a NATO member.

I pray that Mr. Netanyahu and his cabinet have the same conviction that Golda had to stand up to you and Mr. Biden and to clear Gaza now and forever from Hamas and all those who seek to destroy the only Jewish state and the only democracy in the Middle East.

What would your Jewish grandparents say about your legacy?
