Director of Jewish Institution Addresses ‘Israel Beyond the Conflict’

In the second video (portuguese) of the series “Israel Beyond the Conflict,” Deborah Chammah, Director of Education at StandWithUs Brazil, appears in Tel Aviv in front of buildings completely destroyed by ballistic missiles launched by Iran in June 2025.

The attacks targeted Israeli civilians and came after a preventive action by Israel against the Iranian regime’s nuclear bases, which was close to developing nuclear bombs — a direct existential threat to Israel.

The Iranian regime poses a risk not only to Israel but to the entire West, as it supports and influences terrorist groups and opposes the democratic values of the free world.

In recent days, Iranians have taken to the streets to protest against the regime of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, expressing hope that the government will fall and allow greater freedom for a population that has lived under repression for more than 30 years.

It is important to note that, in 2026, Iran ranked 10th on the annual list published by the organization Open Doors International, placing it among the countries that most persecute Christians worldwide.

Furthermore, the country continues to pursue policies aimed at strengthening militias and terrorist groups throughout the Middle East, contributing to the spread of tension and instability in the region.
