Excuse my ignorance.

I have a question

for all the artists, academics and intellectuals

I know

that are marching

pro-Palestine

without acknowledging

that Hamas are terrorists.

And because they told me

that I need to “educate myself”,

I then just want to ask for their help

as I am feeling

so ignorant

and I just cannot understand.

So, I ask them

why they don’t think

that Hamas’s political charter and aim

to “kill all the jews and destroy the State of Israel”

is not anti-semitic?

I ask them

why it is acceptable for them to march

openly singing “From the River to the Sea”

which means “Death to all of Israel”,

and why that isn’t

a clear call for genocide?

I ask them

why they call about “stopping western colonisation”

whilst they are westerners themselves

in their westerners’ universities

and westerner’s freedoms

telling (from their westerner perspective)

what Israel or Palestine should be?

I also ask them other questions

but

on these three

I still have

no answers.
