Final Case for Trump: Israel’s Unwavering Ally

Today, Americans nationwide will elect the next President of the United States. The past few months have marked one of the most divisive periods in our nation’s history, and many are still uncertain about which candidate to support. The outcome of this election will have a direct impact on Israel’s ongoing fight against terrorism. With this in mind, I present my final case for the candidate I believe genuinely supports Israel: Donald Trump.

Under President Trump, the United States made historic moves that strengthened its support for Israel. One of the most notable achievements was relocating the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, a decision that recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Trump made a powerful statement by affirming the United States’ commitment to Israel and acknowledging its sovereignty over its capital. Moving the embassy demonstrated Trump’s dedication to a relationship with Israel that was grounded in mutual respect and support.

His decision was met with widespread support from Israelis and many American Jews who saw it as a long-overdue acknowledgment of Jerusalem’s significance. By moving the embassy, Trump fulfilled a promise that previous presidents had made but never acted upon, signaling a significant shift in U.S. foreign policy. The move was both symbolic and practical, strengthening diplomatic ties and reinforcing Israel’s standing on the international stage.

President Trump also achieved unprecedented success in Middle Eastern diplomacy. In just four months, he brokered four peace deals between Israel and Arab nations, collectively known as the Abraham Accords. These agreements marked a groundbreaking shift in Middle Eastern relations, opening the door for cooperation between Israel and its neighbors in ways that had seemed unimaginable just a few years earlier. The Abraham Accords prove that peace in the Middle East is achievable with strong American leadership.

Trump’s peace plan was monumental because it was the first peace agreement between Israel and Arab nations in over 25 years. Through the Abraham Accords, countries like the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain normalized relations with Israel and committed to mutual prosperity and security.

“For decades, the Jewish state has prayed for peace. And this is why, today, we’re filled with such profound gratitude,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said when addressing the United States Congress about the Abraham Accords. I am grateful to you, President Trump, for your decisive leadership. You have unequivocally stood by Israel’s side,” Netanyahu added.

Another critical action taken by President Trump was ending the flawed Iran nuclear deal after Israel published a 55,000-page report stating how Iran had violated the agreement. This ‘treaty,’ known formally as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), had allowed Iran to continue its nuclear program with minimal restrictions and provided financial relief that many argued was funding regional terrorism.

By withdrawing from the deal, Trump made a strong stand against Iran’s nuclear ambitions and committed to protecting Israel from a nuclear threat. This decision reinforced the message that the U.S. would not tolerate Iran’s destabilizing influence and aggression in the region.

Ending the nuclear deal also sent a clear message to Israel’s enemies that America stood firm against those who threatened its allies. By re-imposing sanctions on Iran, the Trump administration restricted its economic resources, thereby limiting its ability to fund terror groups that posed a direct threat to Israel. This decision was widely praised by Israel’s leadership, who saw it as a necessary step toward their nation’s safety.

Additionally, Trump boldly moved to end U.S. funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). This agency, which provides services to Palestinian refugees, has long been proven to have connections to terrorist groups.

Trump’s decision marked a significant shift, as the previous administration had continued funding despite evidence of UNRWA’s involvement with groups hostile to Israel. Halting this funding was an essential step toward ensuring that American tax dollars were not supporting terrorism against Israel.

This funding decision appeared to have disregarded the documented issues within UNRWA, allowing resources to flow to an organization linked to groups that have targeted innocent civilians. For Trump, ensuring that taxpayer dollars would not be funneled to groups with connections to terror was a matter of principle.

President Trump’s actions demonstrate a consistent commitment to Israel’s security, sovereignty, and prosperity. His policies and decisions reflect a strong stance on protecting allies and a firm rejection of funding or supporting organizations with anti-Israel agendas. Through his actions, Trump proved to be a steadfast ally to Israel, setting a new standard for U.S. support that safeguarded Israel’s position in the region and promoted lasting peace. You may dislike Trump’s character, but there’s no denying he’s a friend of Israel, whereas Kamala Harris is not.
