Free means completely

The previous Lubavitcher Rebbe was freed from exile on the 12th and 13th day of Tamuz.

On the third day of Tamuz, he was freed from prison. But he then was exiled, and remained in exile until the 12th and 13th day of Tamuz.

And Chabad celebrated not the 3rd day of Tamuz, but the 12th and 13th day.

Because even if someone is freed from jail, if he is not allowed to return home, then he is still not completely free.

Israel has defeated its enemies. But those enemies are not yet down and out. So the fight continues, until the complete redemption happens.

And even when Iran and its proxies are down and out, it’s still not complete.

Because the complete Redemption will happen with Moshiach.

And then we will truly celebrate. And the entire world will be aware of the Almighty’s presence. And the world will finally be peaceful.

May it happen now.
