Hillel Latin America Youth Shine at AJC Global Forum in Washington, DC
Hillel Latin America proudly celebrates the participation of its young leaders at the AJC Global Forum, held in Washington, DC. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Matthew and Melanie Bronfman, a gesture that underscored the importance of Latin American presence in this global space.
The event brought together Jewish leaders from around the world, offering days filled with learning, networking, and the exchange of experiences.
The Hillel Latin America delegation included young representatives from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Uruguay, and Argentina, highlighting the international and collaborative nature of the initiative, which fosters dialogue and integration among different Jewish communities in the region. In total, 10 well-prepared participants, under the leadership of Marcia Kelner Polisuk, represented with excellence the strength of Jewish youth in Latin America.
Among the highlights were the contributions of representatives from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, who enriched the debates with thought-provoking questions and meaningful insights. Their active role demonstrated the ability of Latin American Jewish youth to build significant dialogues and strengthen regional connections.
The journey continued in New York, where the delegation attended a special dinner hosted by Matthew and Melanie Bronfman, further deepening ties with an international network of young leaders engaged in shaping Jewish leadership.
The following day, they visited Hillel Columbia and Hillel NYU, expanding their experiences and connections even further.
At Hillel, the belief in the power of transformative experiences drives every initiative. The organization seeks to engage and connect young people, creating opportunities to broaden horizons, develop leadership skills, and reinforce their sense of belonging to the Jewish community.
