Hostages Now Breathe the Air of Freedom

Hostages now breathe the air of freedom,

Joy, jubilation and celebration.

For the families who waited, relief;

For those freed, a renewed light from darkness.

Yet, each family, friends and the nation

Live the nightmare, piercing cries, silent sighs,

Fears, anxiety and moments of anguish.

Amidst words that cannot yet be spoken.

Unconditional love must be nutured

In relentless patience to heal the envelope

That holds the spirit in periodic kindling.

We are all recruited symbiotically.

To begin a chapter within and together

For a new beginning in hope and renewal.
