How the western nations are helping Hamas
It is not often that I listen to a discussion of the current war between Israel and Hamas and have had what are called “Ah-ha” moments. When, I do…it is time to share it with my readers.
Dan Diker of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs interviewed Suzanne Quitaz, a non-Jewish, Kurdish/Swedish, freelance reporter specializing on the Middle East. Suzanne is an eloquent spokesman for the realities which exist in the Middle East, rather than the presumptions which we all may hold from past experiences. She is also a strong advocate or the truth wherever she finds it.
The first truth that Suzanne clearly delineated, is that the West is helping Hamas. They are helping the barbarians who killed Israel’s 1200+ innocents on October 7th, 2024. How are they doing that one might rightly ask? First and foremost, the West is not ferociously fighting Islamic Fundamentalism within its own borders. She cites as an example, that PM Sunak of the United Kingdom gave an excellent speech about his fears of mob rule by the pro Hamas protestors… but did nothing to change the laws of the land to empower the fight for democracy. The very people who are arrested in Arab countries for their Islamic Fundamentalist activities, walk free in the center of London. Sunak did ask his government for additional funds to protect the democratically elected officials of the UK…but not to fight those who threaten the democracy itself…or their Jewish population. Suzanne explained clearly that the Arab world at large understands that both Hamas and Hezbollah are doing Iran’s bidding. The Arab states are spending millions of dollars (in their own currencies of course) fighting the Islamic fundamentalist groups within their own borders. They cannot understand why Britain, the USA, South Africa and all of Europe are not doing the same. These nations, she explains, understand that the fundamentalists are a danger to all nations… not just to Israel.
She explained further, that the media of the West have become enablers to the evil. The numbers of supposed deaths in Gaza are not questioned by the West. The Arab world questions them. They look at the reported “facts” as they are presented and know that they are ludicrous. How can most of the 30,000 supposed deaths in Gaza be all women and children, they ask? Do the bombs select who they will kill? Why is the same man seen in three different locations in Gaza with different children to show how cruel the war is… if it has not been orchestrated by Hamas media? The Arabs themselves look at these anomalies and know fact from fiction.
Suzanne goes even further, explaining that her previously friendly professional relationship with Al Jazeera and other Qatari news outlets, is now blocked because she is willing to tell the truth and question the Hamas reports. She quite literally, can no longer reach any of her contacts who work in the media for any of the Qatari media outlets. And even worse than this… she shares that she also has no access to any of the liberal major news outlets in the United States… much less to the British news media. The West is enabling the evildoers by refusing to allow their citizens to understand the complexities and realities of the Middle East. Even the Middle East Arab nations have their free-press … (in addition to the State-run media), and citizens of those countries know where to read their news if they want the truths of this war or any war with Israel. They even find the truth on some of their social media outlets. Qatar is certainly the principal financial supporter of Hamas… and yet Israel is supposed to work with them for the release of our Hostages? What about this equation sounds strangely absurd?
In explaining the way that Qatar reports the bloody, deadly attacks of October 7th through its programs (and she explains that Qatar is the largest supplier of news in the Middle East with Al Jazeera among many of its products), Suzanne says that the State run media did explain that 1200 Israelis were killed on October 7th. But there was no mention of the fact that they were innocents, burned, raped, mutilated, dragged, dead bodies defiled. Those obscenities are not mentioned, she says, because they are not condoned by Islam. If one does not give the facts… one certainly cannot come to valid conclusions. Suzanne explains that the Arab populations of many countries understand full-well that Hamas and Hezbollah are evil tentacles of Iran, which must be destroyed. They fear for the people of Lebanon… and for their own countries if these forces are not fought successfully.
Ms. Quitaz further enlightened the listeners as to the reporting of other countries as well. The Iraqi media is also talking about the suffering in Gaza, but that it points the finger of blame at Hamas and Iran and concludes that no one is benefiting from this war.
The West doesn’t fear what they are able to ignore. The West is wearing ”blinders”, as if these “strange misunderstood people” will simply assimilate , rather than multiply and infect the democracies we have previously held dear. Ironically, true Muslims, she states…feel that Hamas has hijacked their religion by dehumanizing others and spreading terror. The Arab citizens of most countries in the Middle East, she says, know that it is the Iranian agenda which is being perpetrated by both Hamas and Hezbollah. They also know that this is a religious war against Israel, not for one moment about land. The West “understands” a war over land…. but cannot understand a war about religion. Hence the Palestinians and Iran and Hamas and Hezbollah…and Qatar… give the West whatever premises will justify their ultimate goals. Understanding this is critical to understanding why the discussions about reviving the “two-state solution” as a viable resolution to Middle East issues, is beyond absurd.
To hear all of this in-person, I highly recommend that you go to YouTube, to the channel of the Jerusalem Center of Public Affairs, to do so.
The Arab world understands what is actually taking place. Why then, cannot the Western countries face the same facts? They clearly are unable to internalize and comprehend with any depth, what is occurring in this war…or in this region. The Arabs know the truth, but the West is unwilling to face reality. It is all quite bizarre.
