I came across a gem of a channel about Judaism
The best way to build bridges between people and cultures is having a candid conversation. And to do that, you need to speak the language of both parties to deliver the message to their hearts, so to speak. You need to understand the nuances, not just some basic words and sentences from a textbook.
Well, guess what. In my exploration of different aspects of Judaism, from dybbuks to prayers expressing gratitude to God for not making one a woman (don’t mention it around social justice warriors, though), I came across a YouTube channel called Tajemniczy Świat Żydów aka the mysterious world of the Jews. An Orthodox Jewish man from NYC explains – in perfect Polish – the complexities and mysteries of the Jewish world. And he does it really well which is why I’ve taken the liberty of mentioning his channel. Not just his impressive Polish without a trace of a foreign accent, given that, as he says, he’s never been outside of the US, but also his lively and humorous presentations that are just right – not too short and not too long. He answers all sorts of questions from people – including if GPS in his car can have a woman’s voice. He is precise in his wording and doesn’t shy away from difficult topics.
I’d go as far as to say he’d make a much better rabbi than some.
I’m guessing there might be a few Polish speakers reading this, check it out his ”Judaism in a nutshell” commentary and his channel in general.
