Is humanity headed for another genocide?

Holocaust denial. ”Haha” emoticons when people brazenly deny a methodically planned mass murder. ”Haha” of murderous glee in support of Holocaust denial, not ridiculing Holocaust deniers. Mind you, I’m not saying we must be holier-than-thou all the time. Larry David makes fun of sensitive topics, but that’s different. Comedy is one thing. Genocidal intent is another.

Besides, these people don’t seem to know that the many groups perished in the Holocaust. Do they also disbelieve their grandparents and laugh at their stories of mass murder? Seems so.

Not just a few ”haha” emoticons, mind you, but many, way too many. Are all these ”hahas” bots? Sadly, no. Many are real people you’d never suspect of being so twistedly stupid or bloodthirsty if you came across them in real life.

We’re in the post-truth world where anything can be called fake. Genocide? Auschwitz? Bucha? Propaganda tours and nonsense.

So, is humanity on a path to another genocide? I still can’t believe it but the answer is yes. The confluence of deeply disturbing factors shows that genocide is a possibility.

Genocide is a methodical extermination of a group or a nation. Those perpetrating genocide don’t need a logical reason. You can’t reason with them. Genocide-possessed people want to exterminate others because they exist. But genocide is also enslavement and taking over the assets of the people who were/are being exterminated. Sometimes, genocide involves an enforced identity erasure, such as of Ukrainian children abducted to Russia.

Genocide is also about false hope. What better way to control people than to give them hope. Arbeit Macht Frei. Work hard and you’ll be free. Of course, no one tells you that freedom in this case doesn’t mean what you think it means. There’s a twisted humor to this, the kind of humor and propaganda mind games the maniacs carrying out genocide enjoy. Mengele dancing with the Jewish children only to send them to the gas chambers or vile medical experiments.

Even a recent TV show, where children are given false hope of ”going home soon,” just a few more experiments and they’re on their way, somewhat mirrors that terrible theme. The kids that suspect a sinister agenda are ignored and threatened.

Indeed, we’re now in a world where some people have chosen ignorance and apathy because it’s easier. Everything is fine. Things are burning all around them but everything is fine. We know this mentality from history and where it leads to.

Genocide can be carried out by an external enemy but not only. An emergent regime sometimes carries out genocide as part of its policy of cleansing, humiliation and intimidation of the population. The regime’s aim is to leave only the obedient citizens who, blinded by ideological zeal or opportunism, are going to be pawns saluting every action and decision of the regime. The rest, i.e. anyone who doesn’t adhere to the image of an ideal citizen for whatever reason, must either be expelled or exterminated. Even enslavement or imprisonment are likely intermediary stages. Anyone who doesn’t adhere to the image of the ideal citizen of the regime must be gone, whatever ”gone” happens to mean in this case.

Citizens that the regime doesn’t want around are called defective in some way. They are sometimes accused of actions and thinking that is vile and twisted when, in fact, it’s the regime projecting its psychopathy onto others in a classic gaslighting technique. Portions of the population, even millions of people, are dehumanized over and over again. The dehumanization becomes systemic. People start joking around as if mass murder isn’t just normal, but a desired course of action. A major red flag for me is when mainstream politicians start using such language. Mainstream politicians who support hateful fringe groups rather than condemn them. And then, with the help of the regime, fringe becomes mainstream.

Religious fanaticism not only creeps out of the shadows but starts calling the shots.

The noxious narrative permeates society. Discrimination and ridicule turn to violence, culminating in mass murder. I’m glad groups such as the Society of St. Pius X, are called out on their anti-Semitism. Don’t expect the members of such groups to change their minds, of course, but still, they must be called out on their vile rhetoric.

New York, NY, January 8, 2013 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) denounced Bishop Bernard Fellay, superior of the Catholic traditionalist Society of St. Pius X (SSPX), as an “unrepentant anti-Semite” after he referred to Jews as “enemies of the church.”

For some strange reason, I’ve come in contact with the members of Society of St.Pius X several times in my life. Strange, because I really don’t care about fringe groups. They have the same cult mindset even if they don’t say it openly. ”We’re special, you’re going to hell.” Well, feel special then, if it makes you happy. Why did God put SSPX on my path? Good Lord only knows.

Just because individual members of SSPX seem friendly and helpful, doesn’t change the fact they happily belong to a group that has no problem denying the Holocaust. And if you deny the Holocaust, you’re okay with genocide. Cult members can be friendly, fantastic people, but they are almost always the psychological pawns of the leader – be it religious or otherwise. It’s like a mini-regime. I feel sorry for them because they can’t see it, especially if controlled from birth. Stay away from cults, dear reader.

I sincerely hope we’re not going to see a world where people like you and me are going to be dragged out of their homes and marched to their deaths while psychopaths and other deeply disturbed people watch it all unfold live, all the while gleefully clicking ”HAHA.”

Can we stop the genocidal-madness-in-the-making? Honestly? I’m not sure. We must do all in our power to stop it. Even if we fail, our conscience will be clear.

And pretending that nothing’s going on, the so-called neutrality, is siding with evil. Do ”HAHA” people understand this? It doesn’t even cross their minds…
