Let me suggest a couple of more ways to slander Netanyahu:
The Likud party is using Netanyahu to win the elections.
The Likud party is using Netanyahu’s new book to win the elections.
Netanyahu is using his new book to promote himself.
Netanyahu is using his new book to promote the Likud party.
Netanyahu’s new book is using Netanyahu to promote itself.
Netanyahu’s new book is using the Likud party to promote Netanyahu.
Netanyahu is promoting himself to promote his new book.
Netanyahu is promoting his new book to promote himself.
The Likud party is promoting itself to promote Netanyahu’s new book.
The Likud party is promoting Netanyahu to promote his new book.
The Likud party is promoting Netanyahu to promote itself.
Netanyahu is promoting the Likud party to win the elections himself.
Netanyahu is promoting elections to promote his new book.
Netanyahu is promoting himself to have the Likud win the elections.
And so on.
With so much suspicion, he must be guilty, that is clear. Really?
Netanyahu’s a capitalist, helping the rich, pretending to be for the People. He should be rejected for that, not for people hating him from baseless slander. Also not for his lies and manipulations. That’s what politicians and lawyers do for a living. Israel needs to return to more socialism. Now the vast majority understands that giving away land for peace is a deadly endeavor, it’s finally safe again to have left-wing governments.
And the religious need to learn to compete on an equal, democratic basis in the marketplace of ideas with all other worldviews. G^d doesn’t force us. Neither should parents, teachers, rabbis, or the State.
Rejecting Bibi is fine with me. But not on a cheap, sentimental basis.
(A special thank you to the AG and the courts for helping Bibi by being ridiculously unreasonable to him just before the elections.)
Just as I want right-wingers to stop slandering the left as dangerous.
Hatred and fear for others are dead ends. Love for our ideals is the way.
With an extra caveat for Jews since we tend to have outbursts of naivety.
