David Matlow
Owner of the world's largest Herzl collection

Is the news getting you down? Take a #Herzlbreak.

A #Herzlbreak is not a break from Herzl. It is the opposite. The world needs more Herzl.

A program of The Herzl Project, a #Herzlbreak is the only production on social media where a package of Zionist memorabilia is opened live in front of a camera. It is modeled on the programs on Tik Tok and Instagram where an unopened package of sports cards is opened live with the hope that the package includes a rare and valuable card.

The Netflix program “Goldin, The King of Collectibles” has elevated interest in the sports and other collectibles market (including a Pokeman card that is worth millions of dollars). It has not yet featured a Zionist collectible. That is where #Herzlbreak comes in.

To date there have been 24 episodes of #Herzlbreak that are shared on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. In each episode a sealed package is opened to reveal the artifact inside. Each episode provides an opportunity to tell the story of Israel and the Jewish people’s connection to it.

This piece is revealed in Episode 24 which is the featured video to this blog.

I am hopeful that someone, somewhere that sees a #Herzlbreak learns a nugget of information about Israel and the Jewish people that may challenge the notions they have about us. It is impossible to know, but impossible happens. If you ever doubt that, take a #Herzlbreak.
