Israel – Behind The Times

Living for many years in Texas, I always waited for the weekend time off, for a lot of activities. The country rested on Saturday and free to go shopping, see friends, picnic outdoor, visit families etc. on Sunday.

It is high time, that the Israelis enjoy what most of the world do. We must tell our government to “deliver” on this very important issue. While Israel is in front of the world in Technology, medicine, agriculture, and more, why is the country “behind” on the weekend calendar?

Just recently Arab countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE) came out with new laws, giving their citizens a two day weekend (Sat and Sun) joining the rest of the world, and enjoy Sunday with all shops open, and all entertainment facilities active.

I cannot imagine why Israelis go along living without a “real” weekend for all the families to enjoy for so long.
