ENOUGH IS ENOUGH: STANDING UP FOR ISRAEL IN THE HEART OF THE NETHERLANDS

On April 28th, the organization Time To Stand Up For Israel will take a bold and necessary stand in Amsterdam. Under the banner “Enough is EnoughStop the Hate”, this powerful manifestation aims to push back against the rising tide of antisemitism, academic boycotts, and hate-filled rhetoric targeting the Jewish state—and Jewish students—right here in the Netherlands.

It is time to speak plainly: the climate at Dutch universities has become alarmingly hostile. What began as political disagreement has evolved into a toxic atmosphere where Jewish and Israeli students feel threatened, ostracized, and silenced. Under the guise of “justice” and “solidarity,” some groups now call openly for boycotts of Israeli institutions, Israeli speakers, and even students who dare express pride in their homeland. This is not activism. This is discrimination—plain and simple.

Our protest is not merely about political disagreement; it is about truth, dignity, and the right of a nation and its people to exist without being demonized. It is about protecting academic freedom, ensuring a balanced dialogue, and calling out the blatant hypocrisy of organizations that claim to stand for human rights, while actively dehumanizing the only democracy in the Middle East.

For years, Time To Stand Up For Israel has held weekly rallies on Dam Square, countering pro-Hamas extremism with a clear voice of reason, truth, and peace. We’ve witnessed the hostility. We’ve endured the slander.

But what we are seeing now crosses all lines. Flyers promoting our peaceful event are met with sickening messages: “Nuke Israel,” “Israel is worse than Nazis,” “They deserve to be wiped off the map.” The fury, the venom—it is hard to read and even harder to believe it is coming from fellow citizens of a country that prides itself on tolerance.

Where is the outrage over these calls for genocide?

We are told Israel’s retaliation is “too harsh,” that “Netanyahu must go,” as if the average Dutch citizen, sunbathing in Hurghada or sipping wine on a canal boat, has any clue what it means to live under rocket fire, to raise children in a bomb shelter, or to defend a country smaller than the Netherlands against enemies who seek its annihilation.

Our rally is not about Netanyahu. It’s not about politics. It is about the fundamental truth that Israel has the right to exist, and the duty to defend herself. Whether you support this leader or that one is irrelevant—Israel is a sovereign democracy, with elected leadership and an army that fights to protect its people, not to conquer others.

Let us be crystal clear: criticizing policies is fair game—but calling for Israel to “vanish” is not criticism. It is hate. It is antisemitism, dressed up as activism. And it must be stopped.

We are not backing down. This rally will go forward. It will be peaceful, it will be powerful, and it will be proud. There will be music, speeches, and at the end, a moment of reflection—a tribute to the fallen soldiers of Israel, who gave their lives so that their people might live in peace and security.

To those who wish to silence us: we are not afraid. We will continue to stand, to speak, and to sing—for Israel, for truth, and for the right of every Jewish person to live without fear.

Enough is enough. Stop the hate.

About the Author
CEO of Time to Stand Up for Israel, a nonprofit organization with a powerful mission: to support Israel and amplify its voice around the world. With over 200,000 followers across various social media platforms, our community is united by a shared love for Israel and a deep commitment to her future. My journey as an advocate for Israel began early. When I was 11 years old, my father was deployed to the Middle East through his work with UNTSO. I had the unique experience of living in both Syria and Israel, and from a young age, I witnessed firsthand the contrast in cultures and realities. That experience shaped me profoundly. Returning to the Netherlands, I quickly became aware of the growing wave of anti-Israel sentiment — and I knew I had to speak out. Ever since, I’ve been a fierce and unapologetic supporter of Israel. I’m not religious, but my belief is clear and unwavering: Israel has the right to exist, and Israel has the duty to defend herself. My passion is rooted in truth, love, and justice. I’m a true Zionist at heart. From my first breath to my last, I will stand up for Israel.
