Justin Trudeau’s leadership is harmful to Canada and its citizens
Justin Trudeau’s leadership is harmful to Canada and its citizens.
The idiom ‘to beat a dead horse’ means to address an issue that has already been discussed many times in variety of sources. It definitely applies to the subject of the bad leadership of Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada. Many members of Liberal caucus asked Trudeau to resign. Left leaning BBC wrote “Trudeau approval rate has plummeted from 63% when he was elected (in 2015) to 28% of this year (2024). The former ministers in the Trudeau cabinet, such as ex-astronaut Marc Garneau and former finance minister, Bill Morneau, point to Trudeau’s deficit in understanding the basics of international relations and severe financial illiteracy. Even CBC, the unofficial media outlet of Liberal Party of Canada, had to write that many liberals want Trudeau to resign.
So why I am writing an article on this widely covered subject? Today is January 5, 2025 and Justin Trudeau is still the Prime Minister of Canada. There are many urgent problems created under his incompetent leadership that require immediate resolution but he is reluctant to resign. As a citizen of Canada, I feel the obligation to express the best way I can our present severe situation.
I wrote the above paragraphs on January 5, 2025 but when I turn on the TV on January 6, 2025 there were news stating that Justin Trudeau promised to step down as a leader of the Liberal Party of Canada and as a Prime Minister of Canada after the race for the leadership of the Liberal Party is producing a new person. He got permission from the Governor General of Canada to prorogue the Parliament till March 24, 2925. Therefore we, Canadians, are ‘blessed’ to be under the ‘glorious’ leadership of Justin Trudeau for couple more months. The words ‘blessed’ and ‘glorious’ in the above sentence carry large amount of irony and disappointment considering the radical leftist and globalist ideology of the present Prime Minister of Canada.
Justin Trudeau owns an apology to thousand upon thousands of Canadian patriots when, after winning the election in 2015 in the interview to New Year Times magazine he stated: “There is no core identity, no mainstream in Canada”. Our present Prime Minister sees Canada as the first post national state and his policies in the nine years of his rule of the country were aimed to achieve this goal. The definition of patriotism: “Along with love, patriotism is the feeling of pride, devotion, and attachment to a homeland, as well as a feeling of attachment to other patriotic citizens” reflects the Canadian citizens pride and devotion to their homeland and nation. “Nationalism is an ideology that emphasizes loyalty, devotion, or allegiance to a nation.” The sense of healthy nationalism together with patriotism represent the essence of overwhelming number of Canadians. The patriots build Canada into democratic state that attracts million upon millions of people from other countries who very often come from places with despotic corrupted rulers and administrations.
Despite Mr. Trudeau’s belief in the status of Canada as a post national state, we do have core values which define our Canadian identity and very often it does not coincide with the ideology and values of countries the immigrants are coming from. During the immigration application process does the government official ask the potential resident of Canada the following questions: What is your view on honor killing? Does a woman have equal rights as a family member and in the society in general? It would be appropriate also to ask a question if the future Canadian citizen condemns or approves the actions of the terrorists who are killing innocent civilians. But no, nobody is asking these questions. During Trudeau’s leadership Canada, from being a country where citizens were safe from physical and moral humiliations, has become a place where radical Islamism extremists can spread their hate and poison unpunished. Trudeau’s spineless and openly politically motivated actions in United Nations confirm his lack of ability to keep Canada’s reputation unblemished. Thanks to Justin Trudeau Canada is now a laughing stock on the international arena.
Defying the common sense and concept of meritocracy Trudeau’s whole administration is based on unshakable adherence to principles of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and identity policy. This obvious stupidity makes Canada an object of ridicule among sound thinking people.
The elected President of USA, Donald Trump, would never have hutzpah to call Canada a 51st state of United States if not for the fiscal mismanagement and absence of right foresight by Justin Trudeau. Trump stated that Canada as a part of US would not have problem with tariffs and will be safe. Chrystia Freeland, the most important member in Trudeau’s cabinet, resigned her position as Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister. In her resignation letter she emphasized “the need for Canada to maintain fiscal reserves to prepare for a possible tariff war with US president-elect Donald Trump, arguing against expensive political-electoral moves (such as a holiday on the federal sales tax and a Canadian $250 check to most Canadians) that could undermine public confidence in the government’s ability to handle the tariff crisis.”
The recent public opinion survey of Canadians identified their concern regarding the country’s military preparedness. In the same survey many Canadians want their country to meet NATO’s military spending benchmark for member countries -2% of the GDP. “Support for hitting the two percent goal jumps to 65 percent when poll respondents are asked about the prospect of a second Donald Trump presidency in the US.” This shows that significant number of Canadians understand the issue of contribution to NATO’s budget better than the Prime Minister of Canada.
The stated above irresponsible actions of the current Prime Minister of Canada provide Donald Trump with the ammunition to justify his suggestion for Canada to become the 51st state of United States.
There are endless examples of the Justin Trudeau’s extreme incompetence leadership, but as it says at the beginning of this article, it will be ‘to beat a dead horse’.
