“Let’s Go To Work!”

He is not witty and graceful like John F. Kennedy.

He is more like John Belusi in the SNL’s “Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger!” sketches.  (Americans of a certain generation will understand.)

Trump has been repeating the same things over and over again for years, even before he ran for president.

They are: borders, energy independence, imbalance of trade, economic prosperity and China (or Chy-NA as called it when a rude journalist demanded to know why he called COVID-19 the “Chinese virus”. “Because,” he said, “it came from “Chy-NA”).

The Fake News and the Dems continue to react to everything he says and does in the same manner, i.e., hysteria, defamation, predictions of failure. Then, when he is proven right all along, they just change the subject and move on to a new grievance. After three and a half years, they still haven’t figured out that he is playing them like a violin virtuoso.

What they have always failed to realize is that Trump understands Americans and their dreams and pride. His vision is one of empowerment, shared values, tolerance, all antithetical to the victim mythology of the Democratic party.

No matter what his opponents throw at him, he is like a buoy. He keeps popping back up and it drives them crazy.

They concocted the Russia hoax, paid $32 million dollars for a Mueller Report, pursued the Ukrainian hoax and then, impeached him.

Who can forget House Speaker Nancy (The Ripper) Pelosi dressed in mafia black shaking her bony finger at exuberant Democrats whooping it up as the results of the vote to impeach were read.

Since the day Trump announced his candidacy, Dems and their followers have conspired against him. Once he was elected they mobilized the federal government to remove him.

Despite their malevolent  efforts, things were going along great. The economy was booming. The military was rebuilt. Trade deals were renegotiated. The borders were being reinforced. Then, the virus hit.

Of course, the Dems exploited it, first attacking Trump for his vigorous response, then attacking him for not responding more vigorously.

They again underestimated Trump.

He immediately created an effective task force of scientists and business leaders. Tests and treatments were approved with lighting speed. He succeeded in getting governors (even certain Dem governors) to cooperate with the federal government to contain the crisis. He motivated Americans to fight back.

Their latest gimmick is adding trillions to the coronavirus stimulus bill for the Kennedy Arts Center, Howard University, post offices, election processes they favor (vote harvesting, same day registration, mail-in ballots).  They will lose again.

Trump is like Marlon Brando in “On the Waterfront”, a 1954 movie about corruption on the Hoboken waterfront. He gets up from a vicious attack and leads his fellow workers into the shipping terminal as “Let’s go to work!” rings out in the air.
