‘Miss Israel World International’ on Netanya’s tribute: ‘Charlie Kirk Square’ honors Israel’s friend
As a proud Israeli, recognized as “Miss Israel World International”and Miss World Influencer representing Israel on the global stage, and Miss Netanya in Miss Universe Israel 2024, I proudly share Israel’s voice through my social media platform, “Kosher Barbie,” even while receiving daily death threats for speaking out.
The people of Israel—and Jews around the world—mourn the shocking and tragic death of Charlie Kirk, a man deeply admired for his unwavering support of the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
Charlie Kirk always stood for Israel. He visited the country twice, declaring, “I’m a huge supporter of the Holy Land, Judea and Samaria.” Though Christian, he upheld the values of the Jewish people and believed deeply in Judaism’s timeless wisdom. Loved by Jews around the world, he became a symbol of friendship, demonstrating that true solidarity with Israel transcends religion and borders.
Kirk was also a brilliant debater, perhaps one of the greatest to ever take the stage. His “Prove Me Wrong” campus debates became viral moments that challenged young minds to think critically. With sharp arguments and genuine care, he reached young people from broken homes or those searching for meaning, offering them both hope and direction.
Last week, the city of Netanya in Israel showed unwavering respect for his legacy, following the announcement by the mayor that the city’s main square would be named in his honor.
The Mayor of Netanya, Miriam Feierberg-Ikar, spoke about Kirk’s enduring impact, announcing that the city’s main square will be named “Charlie Kirk Square.”
“I was shocked to hear of the murder of one of our most prominent advocates in the United States. This tragic event highlights, more than ever, the rising manifestations of antisemitism worldwide. Jews around the world, citizens of Israel, and especially the residents of Netanya mourn the loss of one of Israel’s greatest supporters, who fought on the front lines of advocacy for us and for our country. In Netanya, we will honor Charlie Kirk and remember his work, as is fitting for this extraordinary man,” Mayor Feierberg-Ikar shared.
The new Charlie Kirk Square will be located in Ir Yamim, which means “City of Seas” in English. Established in 2006, it is one of Netanya’s most prestigious neighborhoods. Known for its luxury towers and cultural richness, Ir Yamim is a fitting place to honor Kirk’s extraordinary legacy.
As “Miss Israel World International” and Miss World Influencer, I know Charlie’s voice will continue to inspire. We cannot let violence or intimidation silence free speech. His life reminds us that standing for Israel, honoring traditions, and speaking with courage can inspire generations—and uplift a community, a country, and the world.
