My Plea to My Jewish American Brothers and Sisters

Don’t let us down.

With just a few short months until the 2024 American presidential election, the world sits in anticipation, waiting to see who the American voters will choose as their commander-in-chief and leader of the free world. And with so much at stake in America right now—civil liberties being trampled, the justice system weaponized to go after political opponents, the First Amendment under assault, censorship reigning supreme to control the narrative, an open border welcoming over 10 million unidentified illegal immigrants, a tumultuous economy circling the drain, the medical-industrial complex, the erasure of women from their own spaces, the relentless indoctrination of kids on race and sexuality—you’d think it couldn’t get worse. But buckle up, because it can.

As a Jew, though, my plea today is to my Jewish brothers and sisters in America: Your time is now. Your time to do what’s right for Jews everywhere, and for the Jewish homeland, the State of Israel, is right now. Since October 7th, we’ve seen unthinkable acts of hatred against our people and Israel. Before the world plunges deeper into antisemitism—a historical sign of societal decay—we must act decisively. And we know that as America goes, so goes the world. America is still that shining city on the hill, the leader of the free world.

That’s why I’m here, pleading with you to vote for Donald J. Trump for President. Thankfully, we’ve got two candidates with records we can judge, and in the four years of Trump’s presidency, he delivered more wins for the Jewish people and Israel than we could’ve imagined.

Recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital: Trump not only recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s rightful capital, but he also relocated the U.S. Embassy there in 2018. (And he got a killer deal on the real estate, by the way.)

Recognition of Israeli Sovereignty over the Golan Heights: In 2019, Trump recognized Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights, a critical strategic area.

The Abraham Accords: Trump brokered historic peace agreements between Israel and Arab nations like the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco. Thetwo-state solutiondogma that we were told had to happen before any peace? Fact check: false.

Support for Israel in International Organizations: Trump’s administration fiercely defended Israel, particularly at the UN. Remember Ambassador Nikki Haley’s epic walkouts? Legendary.

Withdrawal from the Iran Nuclear Deal: Trump tore up the Iran deal and slapped on sanctions, addressing Israel’s security concerns head-on. Meanwhile, Biden lifted sanctions, leading to over $100 billion flowing to Iran, which—big surprise—ended up funding Hamas and Hezbollah.

Increased Military and Security Cooperation: Trump strengthened U.S.-Israel military ties and signed a $38 billion defense aid package for Israel. And unlike the Biden administration, no one was dangling aid over Israel’s head during a war for survival.

Recognition of Jewish Sovereignty in Judea and Samaria: Trump’s administration dared to declare that Israeli settlements in the West Bank weren’t automatically illegal. A bold move indeed.

Combating Anti-Semitism: Trump signed an executive order protecting Jewish students on U.S. campuses from discrimination and antisemitism. No water and avocado toast for thoselesbian dance theorystudents at the radical pro-Hamas college encampments.

Pro-Israel Stance in U.S. Policy: His administration’s foreign policy was unapologetically pro-Israel, appointing key pro-Israel figures, and reinforcing the U.S.-Israel alliance.

Now, let’s be real. The Harris/Biden administration (or should I say, Obama’s puppet show?) has been full of Kamala word salads and nothing-burgers. I searched for something substantive, but all I found were empty statements and an inexplicable lack of anything resembling a coherent policy. I mean, they sound nice, but for the love of God, say something resembling anything! (Shoutout to the GOAT, MK!)

With all these achievements under his belt, perhaps the most important factor to consider is Trump’s moral clarity. With Trump, what you see is what you get. He’s not some shape-shifting chameleon doing the uniparty’s bidding—he tells it like it is.

“I support Israel’s right to win its war on terror,Trump said at a rally, where he also took Biden to task for freezing weapons shipments to Israel. Or how about,If you come here from another country and try to bring jihadism, anti-Americanism, or antisemitism to our campuses, we will immediately deport you, said in response to the radical pro-Palestinian protests we’re seeing all over U.S. campuses.

There’s no misspeak,  two-speak, whataboutism, but also, but Israel, deflections, shifting the blame, or perhaps the most noteworthy of all, Islamophobia (???!!!). Just clear, concise, and unapologetic pro-Israel, pro-Jewish convictions. That’s Donald J. Trump.

As we countdown to November 5th, 2024—election daylet’s remember these crucial achievements. Let’s remember Trump’s steadfast support for Israel, and let’s remember that we have the most pro-Israel, pro-Jewish president in American history waiting in the wings to take back the White House, lead the world to a safer more prosperous future and Make America Great Again.

And to my Jewish brothers and sisters in the States, don’t sit this one out. Even if you’re a lifelong Democrat orindependentwho’s been concerned or appalled by the Harris/Biden administration, and you just can’t stomach writing T-R-U-M-P on your ballot (I get it, TDS is a real thing), do it anyway. Do it to send a loud, clear message to the Democratic Party that Jews worldwide are united in our support for Israel. The Democrats’ constant need towhat-abouteverything when it comes to Israel has gone too far, and it’s unacceptable, just like all their other policies.

Vote Israel. Vote Jewish. Vote Trump.
