Naso – The Secluded Woman and Nazir

The secluded woman is the prototype of Israel and Nazir is the prototype of Mashiach.

The Secluded Woman

Immediately after crossing the red sea, the children of Israel were tested with the bitter water at Marah for their faithfulness (Ex 15:23). Torah was only given when they were found faithful.

If the secluded woman is found to be faithful, she shall bear a son (seed).

Sarah was secluded with Pharaoh and Avimelech and was found to be faithful, after which she gave birth to a son (seed), Isaac.

When Israel is found to be faithful, she shall give birth to a son (seed), King Mashiach.

And she is clean; and she shall be cleared, and shall conceive seed (Num 5:28)

The gematria of the above five words is 1413, which is also the gematria of the following five words from Isaiah:

עִיר יְהוָה, צִיּוֹן קְדוֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל (and they shall call thee) the city of the LORD, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel (Isaiah 60:14)

According to the Kabbalist, Zion צִיּוֹן is Malchut, the mate to Yesod as personified in Joseph, for Zion צִיּוֹן has the same gematria as Joseph יוֹסֵף which is 156. Joseph was secluded with his master’s wife but did not commit the sexual sin.

156 is also the gematria of jealousy קִנְאָה, i.e. the spirit of jealousy:

וְעָבַר עָלָיו רוּחַ-קִנְאָה וְקִנֵּא אֶת-אִשְׁתּוֹ and the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife…(Num 5:14)

It is explained that the “spirit of jealousy” is the ideal of sexual purity that her husband is zealous of, as represented by Joseph.

In the New Testament, Miriam (bitter water) is a virgin betrothed to Joseph, the Hebrew rendering would be: מִרְיָם הַבְּתוּלָה, מְאֹרָשָׂה לְיוֹסֵף, the gematria is 1470, which is exactly the gematria of Israel and New Testament:

Israel
New Testament

Miriam was secluded with the Holy Spirit and was found to be faithful, and she shall bear a son (seed).

The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Mashiach that hovers on the face of the water in the beginning:

וְרוּחַ אֱלֹהִים מְרַחֶפֶת עַל פְּנֵי הַמָּיִם And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters (Gen 1:2)

The gematria is 1369, which is 37 squared, the gematria of Yechidah יְחִידָה, the secret of Mashiach.

It may be surmised that the waters the Spirit of God moved upon alludes to Miriam the bitter water. If we are to substitute “Miriam the Virgin” for the “waters”:

וְרוּחַ אֱלֹהִים,מְרַחֶפֶת עַל-פְּנֵי מִרְיָם הַבְּתוּלָה And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of Miriam the Virgin

The gematria becomes 2012, which is exactly the sum of:

Holy Spirit
Torah
The Seed of David my Servant

It is well established that the Spirit of God is the Spirit of Mashiach, which is also called the Holy Spirit, which impregnated Miriam the Virgin to give birth to the Word of God (Torah) in human form, also known as the Seed of David my Servant (Jeremiah 33:22).

Nazir is the acquired level of holiness by voluntarily separating oneself from the world.

Joseph the Righteous is called the first Nazir:

בִּרְכֹת אָבִיךָ, גָּבְרוּ עַל-בִּרְכֹת הוֹרַי, עַד-תַּאֲוַת, גִּבְעֹת עוֹלָם תִּהְיֶיןָ לְרֹאשׁ יוֹסֵף, וּלְקָדְקֹד נְזִיר אֶחָיו The blessings of thy father are mighty beyond the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills; they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separated from his brethren. (Gen 49:26)

“Separated” נְזִיר is Nazir נָּזִיר, which also means crown, as in Num 6:7: כִּי נֵזֶר אֱלֹהָיו עַל רֹאשׁוֹ, for the “crown” of his God is upon his head, which crown is connected to the High Priest as in Ex 29:6: Holy Crown נֵזֶר הַקֹּדֶשׁ.

The High Priest gained his status by virtue of his birth, being the descendents of Aaron, while the Nazir attained the similar status as a voluntary choice, out of free will.

King is from the House of David, and priest is from the House of Aaron, but Mashiach is both the King and High Priest, how can this be?

Nazir was called the Nazir of Elohim (Judges 13:5), but not the Nazir of YHVH, meaning he is separated from judgment and has attained mercy, according to Zohar.

The Nazir of Elohim הַנָּזִיר אֱלֹהִים has a gematria of 358, exactly the gematria of Mashiach מָּשִׁיחַ, hence the deeper meaning of Nazir is a prototype for Mashiach.

This is why the Torah of Nazir is juxtaposed with the Torah of the Secluded Woman, for if Israel is worthy, she will conceive and have a son, i.e. Mashiach.

“The Nazir becomes the High Priest” rendered in Hebrew would be: הַנָּזִיר יִהְיֶה הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדֹל and the gematria is 424, exactly the same for Mashiach ben David מָּשִׁיחַ בֶּן דָּוִד.

It is for this reason that the law of Nazir is immediately followed by the Priestly Blessing.

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee, The LORD make His face to shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee; The LORD lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. (Num 6:24-26)

The gematria of the Priestly Blessing is 2718.

Mashiach becomes the High Priest in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron:

נִשְׁבַּע יְהוָה, וְלֹא יִנָּחֵם–אַתָּה-כֹהֵן לְעוֹלָם עַל-דִּבְרָתִי, מַלְכִּי-צֶדֶק

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek (Psalm 110:4)

The gematria of this verse is 2260.

The difference in gematria:

2718 – 2260 = 458

458 is exactly the gematria of Mashiach shall be King

Two Nazirites

There are two noticeable Nazarites, one is called Samson שִׁמְשׁוֹן, meaning “small sun”, and another is called John יוֹחָנָן, meaning “God is gracious”.

Paradoxically, both were not voluntary but ordained prior to their births by an angle.

Samson is the prototype of Mashiach as Mashiach is called the Sun of Righteousness שֶׁמֶשׁ צְדָקָה (Mal 4:2). And John is the fulfillment of Elijah.

The gematria of Samson and John is 820:

Samson
John

This is exactly twice the gematria of Mashiach and Elijah:

Mashiach
Elijah

John is the reincarnation of Elijah, for the gematria of Elijah plus reincarnation (gilgul) is exactly the gematria of John יוֹחָנָן, which is 124.

Elijah
Reincarnation (gilgul)

Elijah is called Elijah the Tishbite and John is called John the Baptist, their gematria is 989:

Elijah the Tishbite
John the Baptist

Adding 1 to unify Elijah and John as one, 990 is exactly the gematria of the two comings of Mashiach:

Mashiach ben Yosef
Mashiach ben David

Nazir and Christians

According to rabbinical standard, Jews are identified by birth, this is the concept of the priest.

In contrast, Christians are not by birth, but by free choice, this is the concept of Nazir.

Christian in Hebrew is נוֹצְרִי, which is etymologically connected with Nazarene הַנָּצְרִים, the root is נצר, which is of the same root as “branch” in Isaiah 11:1, which is a Messianic prophecy:

וְיָצָא חֹטֶר מִגֵּזַע יִשָׁי וְנֵצֶר מִשָּׁרָשָׁיו יִפְרֶֽה And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots (Isaiah 11:1)

Based on the Albam system, Zayin is interchangeable with Tzadi:

כ י ט ח ז ו ה ד ג ב א
ת ש ר ק צ פ ע ס נ מ ל

When the Zayin of Nezirim נְזִרִים is substituted with Tzadi, the word is transformed into נָּצְרִים Nazarene, the gematria of the two words is 707:

Nazirites
Nazarene

707 is exactly the gematria of the “seed” when spelled out in full:

Seed

As it is written in Mat 2:23: He shall be called a Nazarene.

The Hebrew rendering would be וַיִּקְרָא-לוֹ נָצְרִי, the gematria is 703, exactly the gematria of Nazir when spelled out in full, as follows:

Nazir

703 is the triangle number 37, which is the gematria of Yechidah יְחִידָה, the secret of Mashiach, as discussed at length before.
