Netanyahu should resign now

Netanyahu should resign

Watching Netanyahu today on USA television was an anger-provoking experience. Why is this man still speaking for Israel? His phrases are out of touch with today’s world: nobody under 65 responds to words such as “Nazi” or “Holocaust”; their words are oppression, colonialism, race, capitalism, Jew. Any world leader who carries weight knows this; Iran and Hamas know this and this is part of the reason they get 100s of thousands on the streets of France, England, and the USA.

Netanyahu split Israel in two in the past year; the split was vicious and left hatred. He is not the man now to unify the country.

Netanyahu knows he is responsible in measure for today’s catastrophe; his face shows it, his wordy defense shows it; his allusion to Roosevelt and Bush shows it. Israel knows it. The guilty cannot lead.

Netanyahu keeps ministers who are incompetent. This is not wartime leadership.

Netanyahu talks too much. After a minute or two, his words are stale. It is hard to continue to listen, even harder to believe.

Maybe someone in Israel thinks he is the best available as his English is excellent. Others in Israel can speak excellent English.

Wartime leadership must be trusted, competent, above suspicion, and unafraid for themselves. Netanyahu fails on all these measures.

It is time for him to be removed; not tried in court, just removed from leadership.
