Netanyahu: The New Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood
Yes, dear readers, you read that correctly: “Netanyahu is the new Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood.”
But hold on… wait a moment!
I have not suffered a mental breakdown, nor do I require an ambulance from Stockholm to admit me to a psychiatric emergency ward.
What I am telling you is not a joke, but a semi-official narrative seriously promoted in my country, Egypt.
In the Middle East, even a fetus in the womb knows that the Egyptian media is nothing but a faint echo of a rigid military regime.
Some channels are officially owned by security agencies, while others orbit them, executing their orders with trembling or gleeful tones… depending on the occasion.
There is no press freedom there only a propaganda apparatus that excels at broadcasting toxic fiction under the slogan “The whole world is conspiring against Egypt.”
A few days ago, channels described as “the most watched” promoted the claim that direct coordination is underway between the Muslim Brotherhood and Netanyahu to destabilize Egypt.
This fictitious story was fueled by a demonstration organized in front of the Egyptian embassy in Tel Aviv, called by the “Union of Imams of Wadi Ara,” led by Brotherhood members Kamal al-Khatib and Raed Salah, under slogans condemning Egypt.
But the Egyptian media deliberately ignored the fact that Israel has laws that guarantee the right to protest.
Kamal al-Khatib, Raed Salah, and their associates are Israeli citizens, and what they did falls within their legal rights, regardless of their motives or ethical duplicity.
However, since imagination in our media knows no limits, the narrative quickly evolved to claim that Netanyahu is the new Supreme Guide of the Brotherhood, managing its affairs through Mossad and receiving their pledge of allegiance!
The alleged link between the two sides is, according to the narrative, the Israeli researcher Edy Cohen, who is said to be responsible for assigning roles to Brotherhood leaders and coordinating their grassroots and youth activities via social media.
Below are four real, documented examples of this “non-media” absurdity, so you can be sure what you are reading is not the product of a satirical writer’s imagination but actual material broadcast on official channels.
Mostafa Bakry | Program: “Facts and Secrets,” Sada El Balad, July 31, 2025
Bakry, a member of Egypt’s House of Representatives and the semi-official voice of military intelligence, claimed there is a conspiracy against Egypt led by the Muslim Brotherhood in cooperation with Israel and foreign intelligence agencies. He added: “Netanyahu adopted the narrative promoted by the Brotherhood. Everything is coordinated with him.”
Mohamed Mostafa Sherdy | Program: “Al Hayat Al Youm,” Al Hayat Channel, July 31, 2025
Commenting on the demonstrations in front of the Egyptian embassy in Tel Aviv, he stated that the protesters are “managed by Israel.”
Political analyst Amr El Gezzar went further, saying:
“Today, the international Muslim Brotherhood organization acknowledges that Netanyahu has become the Supreme Guide of the group!”

Titled his episode: “From Tel Aviv to the Muslim Brotherhood… The Strings of the Game Unravel.” He said: “Netanyahu runs the Brotherhood, aided by researcher Edy Cohen, with the goal of sabotaging Egypt and imposing displacement in Sinai.”
He then uttered his favorite phrase: “The alliance of Jewish Zionists and Muslim Zionists,” referring to Israel and the Brotherhood together.

Hosted a supposed Brotherhood defector and conducted a dialogue full of nonsense such as: “Netanyahu is the current Supreme Guide of the Brotherhood, running a dark room targeting Egypt on social media and demoralizing the people.”
In one of the most ridiculous moments of this narrative, Ahmed Moussa’s program displayed a manipulated photo of the Israeli Prime Minister with a long beard and a dark background suggesting awe and secrecy.
The clear objective was to convince viewers that Netanyahu has actually become the Brotherhood’s Supreme Guide! The photo bore a bold caption:
“Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood.”
For the record, and to affirm with absolute clarity.
As much as certain parties attempt to deny or downplay the facts, the documented evidence and established events confirm that the Muslim Brotherhood has carried out numerous terrorist operations.
Moreover, several of its members have openly expressed their willingness to repeat such actions, driven by a deep-rooted belief that violence and transgression are essential tools for achieving dominance tools legitimized, in their view, by doctrinal interpretations and religious texts.
This truth regardless of how assessments may differ around it cannot be erased through whitewashing or revisionism. It is denied only by those who deliberately overlook a long, undeniable record of actions.
The Brotherhood espouses a regressive, delusional, and anti-modernist project, one that has no place in today’s world and will never succeed, no matter how it morphs or masquerades.
What is truly astonishing, however, is the current narrative being propagated by the media of the “Republic of the Generals,” which claims that Israel is orchestrating the Brotherhood, and that Benjamin Netanyahu is effectively running the organization!
Such a claim doesn’t even qualify as political analysis; it is the product of a deranged imagination, wholly detached from reality. It is promoted by a regime that has lost all connection with reason and has devolved into sheer farce an entity that no longer respects itself. So how can it possibly expect the world to respect it?
The mere adoption of this kind of rhetoric reveals the extent to which the regime disrespects the Egyptian people seeing them not as conscious citizens, but as a mindless herd to be herded with delusions and myths, rather than treated as free individuals worthy of respect and participation in shaping their own future.
Indeed, what emanates from this apparatus reflects not only its contempt for Egyptians but also its confusion and deep existential crisis.
The late thinker Dr. Hazem Hosny, in his writings before his passing, delved extensively into this crisis, describing the regime as being in a state of chronic deadlock one that renders any genuine reform effort virtually impossible.
Regrettably, Egypt today seems like a runaway train, hurtling at a maddening speed toward a station bearing a sign written in bold black letters: “Catastrophic Ends”… all in pitch-black darkness..
