Netanyahu’s Haters Are Going Crazy

This week’s military operations that decimated Hezbollah’s senior and mid-level command have made Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the hero of the Sunni Muslim world and possibly the leader of the entire freedom-loving world.

Many may be reading this with a heavy dose of skepticism. Netanyahu? How can anyone say he’s been good for Israel? Much of the mainstream media has been hawking the same narrative – that he is a horrible leader who has brought division to his country, is embroiled in corruption scandals, and is facing accusations both internationally and at home.

I get it. But here’s the thing: you haven’t been told the truth. Like it or not, Netanyahu is the only leader we have who has proven to stand firm in the face of overwhelming international pressure that, quite frankly, has been designed to crush Israel.

Let’s discuss what no one will say out loud: the fact that the Biden administration withheld critical weapons from Israel in the middle of an existential war. This is not the behavior of a true ally. When Israel needed to defend itself — whether against Hamas in Gaza or Hezbollah in Lebanon — it was forced to fight without the full support of the United States. This isn’t some conspiracy theory; it’s reality. Biden’s White House has been pulling the strings, delaying weapons deliveries, and punishing Israel for daring to fight back against terror. And yet Netanyahu has stood firm.

Some of you may think Netanyahu’s leadership has been a disaster, but let’s be honest: how many Israeli leaders would have survived these coordinated attempts to stop him from defending Israel? Take the International Criminal Court (ICC) for example. They’ve been coming after Israel for years, accusing it of war crimes, while ignoring the real war criminals — Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran — singling out Netanyahu instead. Despite these weighty legal attacks, he hasn’t buckled, continuing instead to do what needs to be done to keep Israel safe.

Do you think any of his critics (Gantz, Lapid, or anyone else) could have withstood this kind of pressure? Most likely not. Each has publicly admitted that Israel should have ended the war months ago because of international pressure. Gantz famously said, “We can end the war and attack Hezbollah in another year or two.” Internalize this: had Gantz been Prime Minister instead of Netanyahu, Nasrallah would still be in power, and Hezbollah would still be a tremendous threat to Israel with its long and short-range missiles intact.

The massacre of October 7th will be remembered as one of the darkest in Israel’s history. More than 1,200 Israelis were slaughtered in cold blood by Hamas terrorists. This wasn’t just an attack on Israel – it was an attack on the whole region. Iran has been working for years to destabilize the Middle East, not just through propagating terror against Jews but by sending its terror proxies to eliminate Sunni Muslims, Christians, Druze, and all other non-Shiite minorities. No country in the Middle East has succeeded in fighting the growing Iranian terror octopus that has already taken over Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen, to name a few.

Over the past few months, we have been hearing the demoralizing message from former Israeli prime ministers, defense ministers, and generals on the nightly news that Israel and the IDF cannot defeat Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas.

And yet. Who has successfully continued this war, taking on all three strategically and methodically while sidestepping the land mine of international pressure, including from the Biden administration? The answer, clearly, is Netanyahu, the very leader so many have been led to despise. While the West dithers and the Biden administration withholds weapons, Netanyahu is getting it done.

Netanyahu’s green-lighting of the military strike that wiped out Hezbollah’s senior leadership wasn’t only about eliminating a threat to Israel; it was a game-changer for the entire Middle East. Hezbollah, funded and armed by Iran, is its proxy terror army that terrorized Sunni Muslim nations in the region. You may not like Netanyahu, but you can’t deny that by taking out Hezbollah’s top brass, he handed a major victory, not just to Israel, but to the Sunni world, which has been living in fear of Iran’s Shiite expansion. Sunni Muslims have been celebrating and thanking Israel in streets across the Middle East for successfully decimating Nasrallah and Hezbollah’s senior leadership.

Now, let’s address the elephant in the room.

Iran.

The Biden/Harris administration, following the disastrous legacy of Obama, has done everything in its power to appease Iran. The Iran nuclear deal, which Netanyahu fought tooth and nail against, was a direct threat to our survival. Biden, Kerry, Clinton, Harris, Blinken—they’ve all followed the same failed strategy, empowering Iran and hoping it will somehow “balance” the region. It’s laughable. Iran is the biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the world, and thanks to Western appeasement, it has expanded its influence across Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen. This is the reality Netanyahu has had to navigate, all while facing international criticism, sanctions, and, yes, even court cases.

You want to hate Netanyahu? Fine. But at least be honest about what he’s up against. While our so-called allies in Washington and Europe have been playing games with our security, Netanyahu has been taking out the very terror networks that threaten not just Israel but the entire free world. Hezbollah’s destruction is a massive blow to Iran’s regional and global ambitions. It’s a victory that no one in the West—certainly not Biden—has been able to achieve.

But let’s be clear: this war isn’t over. Netanyahu knows that. Taking out Hezbollah’s leadership was huge, but Hezbollah’s military capabilities still exist. Iran is still pushing for nuclear weapons. And what is the Biden administration doing about it? Playing politics. They’ve been so focused on punishing Israel that they’re ignoring the real threat: a nuclear Iran. Netanyahu’s enemies, whether in Washington or The Hague, seem more interested in weakening Israel than stopping the terrorists who want to wipe Israel off the map.

And don’t get me started on the absurdity that is international diplomacy. In Netanyahu’s speech at the United Nations on Friday, he again warned the world about Iran and Hezbollah, as Arab representatives threatened by Iran’s Islamist regime demonstrably walked out. Yes, the very countries literally under threat of Iranian aggression chose to walk out on the leader whose actions are protecting them, whether they like it or not. As this tragic hypocrisy continues, it is Netanyahu, despite all his faults, who continues to stand firm.

You don’t have to like him. You don’t even have to respect him. But what you can’t deny is that for all his flaws, Netanyahu is the world leader who is fighting for Israel’s survival. Fighting against an antagonistic Israeli media, against the international court, against a hostile US administration, and against a world that would rather see a weakened Israel. That’s something no one else has had the guts to do.

So before you write him off as a disaster for Israel, ask yourself this: would any other leader withstand this level of pressure and still keep us safe? Would any other Israeli leader be willing to face down not just the terrorists but our so-called allies who are making things worse for us? Like it or not, Netanyahu is doing what needs to be done because, realistically, no other Israeli leader can.

The freedom-loving world, and all Israelis, should open their eyes and set aside their animosity for Netanyahu. He deserves their support in pursuing the end goal: destroying Iran’s nuclear capability and ultimately making the world safer for all.
