New Book: Universal Zionism Helps Define Zionism For All
Some days I feel like taking a mic, bringing a friend and having them tape a random “Talk On The Street” to prove a point, most people can’t define what Zionism is.
How can anyone, including so-called journalists, celebrities and content creators stand against Zionism when they can’t even speak about it.
The excuse that I’m not antisemitic but I am against Zionists like Bibi Netanyahu simply is wrong.
So is thinking Zionism is a “Jewish issue.”
So when my friend Rabbi Tuly Weitz told me about his new book, a recommended read for everyone about Zionism, I knew I had to share it with you.
Universal Zionism is his latest work uniting anyone yearning for truth and biblical history, Israel for all and routes for lasting peace if educated and desired. One of my friends calls Rabbi Weitz and his work through his organization, media commentary or tour leader a “spiritual superpower.”
Weitz, like myself, bridges among Jews, Christians and Arabs who respect Judeo Christian values and understand how Israel actually offers them opportunities and not the false narratives, fake media and the opposition continuously spread.
To summarize, the three core definitions of Zionism pointed out in the book include:
- Political Zionism: Explores how modern Israel rose from a political dream (starting with Theodor Herzl) into reality.
- Religious Zionism: Examines why millions view Israel as a central part of religious history and humanity’s future.
- Universal Zionism: Weisz’s own proposed framework, which invites Christians to actively join the Zionist movement and support complete Jewish sovereignty over biblical regions like Judea and Samaria based on shared scriptural readings.
Israel’s purpose from defensive survival to global spiritual leadership. The book presents a hopeful vision of how the Jewish state can become humanity’s greatest source of moral clarity and unity in an increasingly divided world.
“The question is no longer whether Israel will survive, but what Israel will become,” says Rabbi Weisz, founder of Israel365. “Universal Zionism argues that Israel’s next chapter isn’t about playing defense, it’s about fulfilling our ancient calling to be a light unto the nations.”
Israel and the Jewish people have survived every kind of violence, eviction, death and destruction for thousands of years. What poor public relations fails to point out is that Zionists have discovered technology, medicine, entertainment and media and even government laws that haters of Zionism use everyday and refuse to give up, especially cellphone technology.
Through Israel 365, international followers learn a peaceful and united side of Zionism.
Written for a general audience with rich historical detail and accessible storytelling, Universal Zionism makes complex theological concepts understandable to readers of all backgrounds. Rabbi Weisz weaves together fascinating accounts of biblical kings, modern Zionist pioneers, and contemporary Israeli leaders to illuminate how Israel can move beyond survival to embrace its transformative global purpose.
One review, from Dr. Gerald McDermott (author of Israel Matters and A New History of Redemption) praised the book, stating that it is “a book that all Christians should read” and calling it a compelling review of Israel’s history combined with an inspiring vision of Jewish-Christian partnership.
Rabbi Tuly Weisz is founder of Israel365, a leading organization building relationships between the Jews and Christians in support of Israel. Publisher of The Israel Bible,
best-selling “The Israel Bible,” which highlights the special relationship between the Land and the People of Israel.
Rabbi Weisz made aliyah to Israel in 2011 after serving as a pulpit rabbi in Columbus, Ohio. He is a sought-after speaker on Jewish-Christian relations, Israeli politics, and biblical theology, with deep expertise in both classical Jewish sources and contemporary Zionist thought.
There is an upcoming tour planned for early 2027 and more programs and books to come.
