Approximately 18% of the population of New York City is Jewish. This remains consistent and was reported in the Lithuanian press on 21 February 1942. The “New Birzai News” ran this article.
This translates to:
Short from everywhere
According to statistics on the prevalence of Jews, New York is the largest Jewish city in the world.
Context is everything. Hitler’s “Final Solution for the Jewish people” was devised on 20 January, 1942. The above piece ran in the Lithuanian press 32 days later.
Prior to the 2nd World War, Jews comprised about 45% of the population of Vilnius, Lithuania. Almost triple their percentage in New York. Vilnius was a Jewish City.
Vilnius was commonly referred to as the “Jerusalem of the North”. Other than Jerusalem, Vilnius was the epicenter of Jewish wisdom and home to many rabbinical dynasties including the Vilna Gaon. Lithuanians sought to murder the most devout Jews first, since they believed they were the source of our religious identity. Secular Jews were their second priority. By decapitating our religious institutions and leadership, and by slaughtering our most venerated sages and elders, they tried to obliterate our religion and extinguish our humanity. Therefore, murdering and controlling secular Jews became an easier task.
Prior to the creation of the Final Solution, Lithuanians and Nazis had already murdered about 80% of the Jews of Lithuania. The Jewish character of Vilnius was permanently destroyed. At the end of the Lithuanian Holocaust, the only Jews left in Vilnius were those Lithuanians could not find, or could not hunt down.
In 1939 there were approximately 250,000 Jews on the current territory of Lithuania. Now there are only about 2,500. 99% of Lithuanian Jews have been “eliminated”. The Lithuanian plan of mass murder and ethnic cleansing is the most successful program of its kind, in human history. It is the most successful initiative Lithuania has ever devised and undertaken in its entire history.
Our families were termed “useless eaters”. Our children were placed into effective “meat grinders”. Butchering was the only Lithuanian solution for our people. They deemed us unworthy of life and ineligible to exist. They dehumanized us and demonized us. They incited their public to perpetrate genocide.
The Lithuanian and Nazi ideology towards Jews was one and the same. By the time the above newspaper factoid was printed in the Lithuanian press, there were only a handful of Jews not yet slaughtered.
Why did Lithuania publish this article? Lithuania and Nazi Germany were in total alignment on Nazi doctrine. Lithuanians knew Nazi’s would eventually attack America. Lithuanians were prominently represented at Nazi killing fields, and in particular full force in the Warsaw Ghetto. They volunteered in droves to murder Jews and were supremely effective. They perceived this job as a national honor for their people and their country. Murdering Jews proved to be their greatest “accomplishment” in their national history. With the aforementioned article, Lithuanians were incentivizing their population that New York had an abundance of Jews they could eventually murder. Time, location and context for this article illustrates the depth of their conviction.
Today, with the Jewish population of New York robust, New York is alive and vibrant. New York is wealthy and successful, drawing millions of tourists and immigrants. Vilnius is dying, losing their youth as Lithuanians abandon their country and seek better lives elsewhere. Vilnius is a dowdy backwater, dependent upon charitable contributions from Europe. Vilnius University is rated 801[2] while New York is the academic capital of the world.
New York boasts multiple convention centers attracting the largest and most significant conventions worldwide, Vilnius is about the only European capital without a convention center. Their resolution was to dig up a Jewish cemetery and host events on top of dead Jews, (because, after all, they were only Jews!). Imagine civilized people holding a convention in a cemetery! Lithuania’s “brilliant ideas” keep on coming.
The government and leadership of Lithuania fervently wanted their country to be Judenrein (free of Jews). They accomplished their goal. Lithuanians were the ultimate winners of World War II – Hitler and Stalin gave them Vilnius, and they kept it! They also got Klaipeda and reached their goal of being an almost completely ethnically pure state.
Today, Lithuania actively solicits Jews to travel to Lithuania for death tourism. Jewish tourists are also given the opportunity to visit monuments erected to those who were responsible for murdering Lithuanian Jews. It is an assault on human decency.
Lithuania’s achieved vision was our annihilation. Visiting New York or Israel is to see the opposite of Lithuania’s dream; LIFE! We Jews revel in life, we have a vision for our future. We Jews can never recover from what Lithuania took from us. Our losses cannot be surmounted. However, we are still alive and thriving and we will continue to go from strength to strength. Our holidays are often about – “They tried to kill us all, but didn’t manage, lets eat”. New York and Israel are the food capitals of the world, lets live and eat where we are valued and appreciated. We have no need to choke on top of our death pits in the center of our annihilation – Vilnius.
