Now what
There are different opinions regarding whether Israel should have kept up their attack on Iran.
Some say that Israel accomplished enough. They took out many of Iran’s nuclear scientists, commanders, missiles and missile launchers, and Trump bombed three nuclear sites.
Others say, that Israel should have continued attacking, in order to facilitate regime change.
The question here is, what would regime change mean? Even if Khamenei was eliminated, would the IRCG or other undesirables have taken over?
Perhaps we can look at it as follows: Much was accomplished. Iran’s nuclear capability and missile capability seems to have been greatly (if not totally) diminished.
As for regime change, we don’t know if this would have happened, and if it would have happened in an optimum way.
In other words, perhaps what was accomplished is good enough.
Time will tell. In the meantime, Israelis can start to get on with their lives without the tension of running to shelters.
Hopefully the unity that Israel experienced will continue.
And the feelings of closeness to the Almighty, will surely be beneficial.
As Israel and the Jewish people face the future, there is reason to be optimistic, that the whole episode has impressed the world with the realization, that G-d is protecting His chosen nation.
Hopefully the world will now be more receptive to G-d’s presence in our everyday lives.
May the ultimate and complete Redemption happen very soon, so that true peace will permeate everything, and all will recognize G-d’s omnipotence, as He conducts everything with Divine providence.
