NY Times Insults Jewish-Americans with Blood Libel

New York Jews have come to a crossroads. It’s one they’ve avoided for decades, but they’ve no other choice now, not after the New York Times days ago (“The Horror of Sexual Assault in Israeli Prisons,” May 11, 2026) published the preposterous and hard to repeat slander that imprisoned Palestinians were being sexually savaged by trained Israeli dogs. All the brainless, embarrassingly stupid, cringingly lowbrow libels perpetrated on Jews going back to the Middle Ages—poisoning of wells, kidnapping of Christian babies, diabolic ceremonies, and all the rest—pale in comparison with what Jews’ strange “allies” and fellow political travelers in the supposedly progressive Democrat party have cooked up in the present.

Indeed, the Times’ modern accusation of this unspeakable Jewish crime, hardly conceivable much less publishable, is outrageous even in comparison with the insufferable verbal venom medieval village idiots spewed out at Jews. This is a new and terrifying depth reached in the gutter of anti-Semitic hogwash and history should note not only the astounding and lurid mindset required to dream up such sick fantasies, but the fact that the perpetrators of this defamation are the Jews’ own political comrades in the party Jewish-Americans have supported by a whopping three-quarters of their electorate, every two years, for the last half-century at least. Even among all the reprehensible political betrayals in history, this one is starting to truly stand out.

None of us alive today can get a feel for what life was like for Jews, for example, in the 1920s and 1930s, and not just in Germany but elsewhere. Chronicles can’t capture a million insults or ten million dirty looks. But we’re all getting a ringside seat this time around. Our modern era is one with Jewish students being chased and harassed on premier American college campuses, and with synagogues being attacked. A chic new street sport in high-crime Democratic cities is knocking shtreimels from the heads of random Hasidic strangers. So it’s not that surprising that it’s degenerated to the insidious anti-Jewish toxin being published in the largest newspaper in America, the media flagship of the Democrat Party. All that should give a glimpse at least at what times may have been like when Cossacks terrorized Jewish villages back in the good old days. One fears to imagine though how much more intense the overt loathing for Jewry will have to get before liberals finally opt to breath a word of rebuke to their anti-Semitic attack dogs.

Or perhaps liberals won’t call them off. It actually doesn’t look like that’s what the political tea leaves portend. Democrats have very good reason to do nothing because it all comes down to the only thing leftists respect even remotely: power in office. And that’s where the going gets tough for Jewish-Americans since they’ve been far too loyal for far too long. When Linda Sarsour, prominent BDS activist, was tabbed to lead the Women’s March in 2017, every thinking person thought the Democrats would certainly pay at the polls. When later that same year Keith Ellison, former supporter of the Nation of Islam, was installed as Deputy Chair of the Democrat Party nothing less than a mass exodus of Jews from the party should have occurred. But it didn’t. The very next year 75% of Jewish-Americans voted the same way they always had: for the Democrats.

The Democrat Party is simply running with this; why shouldn’t they? Every indignity they force upon Jewish-Americans, while nodding simultaneously to their pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli faction, they plainly see doesn’t cause anything at all like a hemorrhaging of Jewish votes. Matter of fact, the harm is imperceptible. They’ve come to realize Jews will vote for them even as they slap them in the face, as they sneer at their culture, as they threaten their children at school and their grandparents at temple, as they shout “river to the sea!”—as they turn their backs completely on them. A third of New York Jews actually cast their ballots a few months ago for their new communist, pro-Palestinian, Muslim mayor. Democrats are betting New York Jews will grin and bear it and shamble to the polls and vote for them next time, just like last time.

There’s more than a paradox here though; it’s really an enigma within a puzzle. What are Jewish-Americans even doing in a partisan coalition with a far-fringe lunacy having sapped the soul from what used to be a sane Democrat Party? What are hard-working, law-abiding, God-fearing, family-oriented, scholarly, patriotic, tax-paying, respectable citizens like Jewish-Americans doing in such company? Democrats are now a political bloc that believes in a hundred and one genders, that makes a place for flag-burners, anthem kneelers, monument vandals, criminals, drug addicts, America-haters, and sexual deviants. It’s a political party singing the praises of puberty blocking, open borders, no cash bail, abolished prisons, defunded police, and higher taxes in “white” neighborhoods. What about any of that appeals to decent Jewish-Americans?

This November you’re at the crossroads—again—Jewish-Americans. Your fellow Americans, your Jewish relations in Israel, and the rest of the world are watching you—again—and hoping for a miracle.
