Obsession: Radical Islams war against the West

On October 7, 2023 Hamas launched a massive military operation into Israeli territory. What follows is a commentary on the video, “Obsession” showing the depth of radical Islam which preceded the given massacre. One is offered a choice between a 27 or a 60 minute viewing version.

The film shows Islamic radicals preaching hate speech and seeking to incite global jihad. It also draws parallels between WW2’s Nazi movement, Islamism and the West’s response to those threats.

Wayne Kopping of South Africa co-wrote and directed the film. Raphael Shore, a Canadian-Israeli, co-wrote and produced the film, and is the founder of the Clarion Fund, the film’s distributor.

The movie is a three-stranded twist of shock yarn. The 1st strand is a series of interviews with 4 or 5 specific individuals who have something to say about “radical Islam” and the “jihadists”.

The 2nd strand is a lavish comparison of today’s [2006] radical Islam to Nazism of the 1930’s. And the remaining strand is a large number of clips from Arabic television.

The message simplified- there are some crazy individuals among us. Happiness for them won’t materialize until every Jew, American and immoral Westerner has been eliminated, or forced to submit to Islamic law. “Some” means about 150 million!

In the wake of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Islamic fundamentalism has, in the minds of many, taken the place once held by communism as the leading threat to the safety and security of the industrialized West. Film makers Wayne Kopping and Raphael Shore explore what they regard as the most dangerous force since the rise of Nazism in this documentary.

Obsession: radical Islam’s War against the West features footage from Arab television outlets with interviews which are compared with newsreel images of terrorist actions staged by the PLO and other groups in an effort to show parallels between hate-based groups of the past and the current mood among Islamic extremists.

“Obsession” also includes interviews with guerilla fighters, former Hitler Youth members, and terrorist operatives as they discuss the role and function of extremist political and religious groups.

In summary, this is a film about the threat of Radical Islam to Western civilization. Using unique footage from Arab television, it reveals an “insider view” of the hatred the Radicals are teaching, their incitement of global jihad, and their goal of world domination.

The film also traces the parallels between the Nazi movement of World War2, the radicals of today, and the Western world’s response to both threats. It features interviews with Daniel pipes, Steve Emerson, Alan Dershowitz, a former PLO terrorist, and a former Hitler Youth Commander.

Focusing now, on the present- the trial of Israel by South Africa. One would think that Israel massacred Hamas terrorists and not the reverse. And what is South Africa’s interest? This country is bankrupt. A country, where the Jews played a significant role in the struggle against apartheid.

Today’s press includes a report on “Farther tells i24 NEWS, ‘Hamas decapitated my son and tried selling his head for $10,000’. “The terrorist who took Adir’s head wanted to make some money, and he put it in a bag. He went into Gaza with it.” In an emotional interview with i24NEWS on Thursday evening, David Tahar, the father of fallen soldier Sergeant Adir Tahar, revealed the gripping details of his son’s heroic acts and the brutal realities faced by soldiers during the intense attack by Hamas on October 7th.

“Tahar vividly described the events that led to the tragic loss of his son. ‘They threw 3 grenades at Adir and also a rocket, a missile. Only this way they managed to kill him. But they killed him when he fell down; they could get hold of that area where he was. “He fought with great courage with his comrades. “They killed quite a few terrorists. Barbarous- these are the words – barbaric terrorists “he added. This is a short caption of events.

According to an Al JAZEERA report of January 16, 2024, Hamas leadership said that the objectives of the attacks are ending “Israeli violations”, securing the release of Palestinian prisoners, and “returning to the project of establishing a state.”
