Avi Schwartz

Oh! What a Holy Moment in a Tent!

In the tent of Holiness as the day came to a close

Here, We, were an oasis to all Souls that only hours earlier were lost.

With the setting sun and closing of the Heavenly Doors

we all felt like the Prophet Jonah swimming to the saving shores.

As the captain of our ship

inspired us with his Torah Chassidish sweeten lips

Our core – our true being – our HaYachida Soul

Was no longer hidden in the dark and bitter cold.

In a middle of a yard – our Holy tent –

We could all feel our prayers being upward, Heaven sent –

as the Angels took our pleas

Our Teshuva – our Repentance, was reviving the Original Sin-Damaged Broken Tree.

How sublime it was to feel the Tree of Knowledge being healed

As each of us renewed our personal Bond with the Creator – our King – our eternal Deal;

Cohen, Levite, Yisraelite

Man, Woman, and Child was transformed at the setting horizon light.

All the sins and barriers were gone

As a majestic unity illuminated the setting sun

And as the Holy Day turned to the Holy Closing of the Neilah Yom Kippur Gate

We all knew our cries, prayers, pleas, and supplications were not late.

Oh! What a Holy moment in a Tent –

as our personal and collective Soul and all its wounds and dents

were smoothed away

at the closing of this most ecstatic, sublime, majestic and transforming Yom Kippur Day.

Oh! What a Holy Moment in a Tent!

Dedicated to Rabbi Avraham Friedman, Kol Nidrei – Rabbi Berel Zweibel, Rabbi Dr. Dovid Levi, Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Brown, Rabbi Mendy Myhill, and Rabbi in Training – David Rosenhouse, and the beautiful congregants of the Holy Yom Kippur Tent in the Chabad of Coral Springs, Florida Courtyard
