It has been one year since we lost a true conservative warrior, Charlie Kirk of Blessed memory. As an Orthodox Jew and President of TurningPoint Faith and Action New York, I met with Charlie twice and invited him to come to NYC to speak at the Metropolitan Republican Club. He was moving to high places and I am 100% convinced he would have been a future President and he was the Abraham Lincoln of our generation. I contemplated and asked myself a question “Why do we always lose the best of our generation at a young age?” It is because they are leaders that rise above the occasion and stand the test of time. I have submitted reflections of my Board at Turning Point Faith that were with me every step of the way as commemorate and pay tribute to Charlie Kirk.
Baila Sebrow eloquently states, “Reflecting on Charlie Kirk’s life and the year since his passing brought me back to my own experience as someone deeply involved in conservative Jewish advocacy and community activism. I was humbled and honored to have been elected by President Joseph Scutts to serve as Treasurer of Turning Point Action New York, the largest Young Republican coalition in America, representing millions of young conservatives across the country. Serving in that position gave me a firsthand appreciation for what it means to be part of a movement that believes our voices matter and that we have a responsibility to stand up for our values. Charlie Kirk understood that responsibility profoundly. His willingness to speak, challenge, organize, and empower young people demonstrated that leadership is not simply about holding a title or having influence—it is about how we choose to use that influence.

His passing has caused me to reflect even more deeply on how easily society can become desensitized to injustice when good people remain silent. Whether in politics, in our communities, or in the lives of individuals who are being victimized, we cannot simply look away. Leadership requires courage—the courage to speak when silence is easier, to stand beside those who need someone to stand beside them, and to use whatever position or platform we have to make a difference. That is one of the lessons I take from Charlie Kirk’s legacy, and it is a lesson I believe we desperately need today.”

Barbara Schwartz of the upper east side so beautifully states “Charlie Kirk was a rare type of man. He was able to convey a sense of purpose with very few words. His intellect incredulous, as was his drive, which was infectious. Charlie would Inform all of of his mission at all times and bring you as a participant on this journey. He definitely commanded respect in professional circles. His faith, with his family and his love for his country certainly were the utmost with every action he took. When the Young Conservative Movement was lifeless he gave it a life. He guided young activists to the best of their abilities. He saw the best in everyone they could possibly see. For that reason, I respected him. Such a sad world without Charlie Kirk’s presence…
Ari Kirschbaum, a longtime champion of Jewish causes from Long Island and organizer of Turning Point Events in NY says, “It’s really hard to believe it’s been a year since Charlie Kirk’s murder. In some ways it feels like it happened last week and sometimes like it happened many years ago. Charlie was a truly special person with great love and admiration for the USA. He saw the potential for every American to be good and productive. He taught values and truth to a generation that was denied those attributes by the failed education system. It’s been especially hurtful to see his “friends” use his murder to amplify their own conspiracy theories and to trash his legacy while lining their pockets. I wish nothing but love to family, his true friends and his loyal fans and followers.”
Mike Zumbluskas, a pillar of the Republican community who has both ran and has run over 400 campaigns for the Republican Party eloquently has spoken from the heart and said,  “As we mark the one year anniversary of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, one of the most influential people not only in this country but around the world. Our hearts still go out to Erica his wife and his two children. Charlie was killed because he was successful, he built TP USA from the ground up which became one of the most powerful political organizations in the United States. That was only one of the reasons that the left hated him but that was not the main reason. It was because he dared go into the indoctrination zones (liberal college campuses) to anyone who would wish to speak to him. And more often than not he put these supposedly well-educated students and sometimes faculty stumbling to respond to his answers in follow up questions.
This was sacrilege in their eyes for Charlie was a college dropout. The infatuation he caused was that he was able to not only wake up but recruit 10s of thousands of students from the woke ideology that these venerated temples of delusion and a good portion of them then joined TPUSA. According to them this uneducated imbecile who dropped out of college himself was able to expose the lies in the mis -education of the American students on their home ground! This is why he was enemy #1 of the people they needed to get rid of. Charlie recorded how uneducated these college students were. Every time he visited what these menageries of education do he proved how unprepared these colleges were to prepare our future leaders. None of them add critical thinking skills and were ignorant on many different issues and were going into debt to the tune of hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of dollars in some cases. A little bit was filmed and put on social media to the embarrassment of the professors administrations of or once great universities. That is why they had to eliminate him because he was their greatest threat. This is why everyone must become Charlie Kirk every day! Not only will this pay tribute to Charlie. As Spartacus’ troops did at the end of the movie by claiming they were all Spartacus, but it will continue his work and we will hopefully bring sanity back to our country.”
Towards the end of his remarkable life of 31 years, Charlie had decided to accept upon himself keeping the Jewish Sabbath in December of 2023 when I was at the TurningPoint AmericaFest Event in Phoenix, Arizona with both Mike and Ari. His book ” Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life is the final, posthumously published book by the conservative political activist Charlie Kirk. Kirk had completed writing the manuscript shortly before his death in September 2025, and Winning Team Publishing officially released the book on December 9, 2025. The book marks a significant shift from his usual political commentary, focusing heavily on personal faith, mental well-being, and spiritual discipline. Kirk frames the Sabbath as a radical rebellion against modern “hustle culture” and a 24/7 society dominated by screens and incessant news cycles. He advocates for an intentional, tech-free period to reduce anxiety and nurture the soul. Unlike the traditional Sunday rest observed by most Christians, Kirk details his personal practice of keeping a Saturday Sabbath (from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown).

He began this practice in 2021 after being challenged by a friend to take the Fourth Commandment literally. While the book focuses heavily on the benefits of resting, disconnecting, and prioritizing family, reviewers note that Kirk still weaves in his distinct political worldview. He argues that a shared national embrace of a Sabbath rhythm could restore self-government and act as a pillar for Christian nationalism in America. Charlie yearned for the day that he would once again see Jerusalem again and had visited Hebron and the Tomb of the Patriarchs, the Western Wall and loved the Nation of Israel. We need more Charlie Kirks in this World who help transform the World and fight the good fight on a daily basis. May he rest in peace and may his Memory be an eternal Blessing.
