Only Lieberman
There is no other choice. The current government and its leader must end their term immediately. The person chosen to lead the government must be reliable, strong, and know a thing or two about running a state. We have experienced a major national disaster, and we are still on the road to nowhere. The people need a true leader who speaks clearly, to the point, and without hesitation and who will extract the people from this ongoing nightmare that has been going on for years.
That man is Lieberman. The man with the heavy, decisive Russian accent, who in his youth was a baggage handler at the airport and a bouncer at a student club; who married a “new immigrant” who follows Jewish tradition and moved to the Nokdim settlement in the Judean Desert. Lieberman symbolizes the goodness and diversity of the Israeli people – pioneering, tradition, determination, and decisiveness; and he is one of us.
He has fulfilled many positions during his political career – as Defense Minister, Foreign Minister, Finance Minister, Energy Minister, Transportation and National Infrastructure Minister, and Prime Minister’s Office Director-General. He has hands-on experience in the national mission and knows its weaknesses and strengths, and therefore, it is reasonable to assume that he will succeed in managing the mechanism that will form the government.
The words of truth that Lieberman uttered years ago, without the listening ear of the Prime Minister, warned of the danger of Hamas in Gaza. He is the one who described the disaster scenario to the Prime Minister and the Cabinet, which unfortunately materialized on October 7th. As a responsible person, he did not publish the document he wrote about six years ago, since it was confidential and only sent to the Prime Minister. Today, he stands by the decision not to publish it, but the document will most likely be a major focal point during the State Commission of Inquiry.
Lieberman says the things that need to be said – he is sharp and direct. He expresses what many think: that Bibi is a national disaster, a historical disaster, ruining and destroying the people and the State of Israel. This man, with his advantages and disadvantages, is the one we must choose to lead the government of Israel.
I am a member of the Labor Party, the right-hand man of the late Yitzhak Rabin; I know what leadership is, and I think the citizens of Israel have reached a situation where Lieberman and “Israel Beitenu” must lead the State of Israel. The party must open its gates and be a national party, not right or left, whose leadership comprises security personnel, responsible managers, community and settlement people, and, yes, representatives of new immigrants. With a lot of knowledge and a lot of experience. Everyone deserves representation in the Knesset. Lieberman is a key figure capable of leveraging a diverse government, each representing a different aspect of Israeli society.
The people on Lieberman’s list for the Knesset and the government will be willing to sacrifice themselves to benefit Israeli society and care for the security of the good people living here. People who strive for equal rights alongside obligations among the children of the land; and on this basis, they will correct the distortion and distribute the resources logically and correctly; without dirty coalition payments.
There is no other choice. The existing alternatives at the head of the other parties lack the essential components for leadership. We are struck by a terrible disaster that has befallen us. We must recover and be a society worthy of the murdered, the fallen, the abducted, and the thousands of wounded who will forever live with the wounds of October 7th. We owe ourselves a different state, one that is worthy of our children and grandchildren, and therefore, we must go to elections – now. I have decided to support Lieberman for the position of Prime Minister of Israel, and I ask all my friends and acquaintances to do the same.
