Out in the Sukah — feeling protected

When reports of antisemitism are about to ruin your whole day, try going out to the Sukkah. At first you feel vulnerable, but then you remember, that when we left Egypt and travelled in the desert, clouds protected us.

We’ve seen many miracles in the last three years. We saw what happened when Israel gave away land, and how they learned their lesson to never give away land again. And we have seen how they rose as lions to defend their land.

We saw how Israel miraculously defeated their enemies, and how the Iranians and Houthis and others are now afraid to attack us, because they know that we can go after their leadership again.

We have seen many miracles.

So the next time you feel vulnerable, try going into a Sukkah. It reminds us of G-d’s clouds of protection thousands of years ago. It reminds us that even now, the Almighty is watching over us.
