Palestinianism and October 7th

On April 9th, I had a very straightforward discussion with Dr. Einat Wilf on my podcast. As Dr. Einat Wilf is a prominent researcher on UWNRA, I have wanted to ask questions personally, not just as a podcast guest. I have read her book, “The War to Return(2020).” Many of the people who write blog posts here know her writings and works, I believe. One of my main questions was the historical perspective of the Israel-Palestinian Conflict. I would also like to write about our conversation on Zionism and Japan, and what I think of today’s Japan.

To understand a conflict, it is important to know some key factors on why there is a conflict and its nature. She described me with the term “Palestinianism.”  In my opinion, the majority of the Japanese are totally uneducated on this ideology. A lot of the media explain this as “ethnic conflict” with Israel being more armed. Do you think this explanation is correct? I don’t believe so.

Palestinianism, as Dr. Einat Wilf clearly explained on my podcast, is the main cause of the conflict. A lot of Japanese media, starting with NHK, the state-sponsored media, describe Palestinians as resiliant citizens. Here, I’m not referring to the hatred of the people as human. However, there is one major barrier that the so-called Palestinians must abandon, which is Palestinianism.

Palestinianism is an ideology Hamas and other Jihadists also apply. However, the ideology itself isn’t just about the terrorists. This ideology exists in the mind of Gaza, if I were to take as an example. The ideology is to “take away” the land of Palestine from Israel.

So, who is to stop wishing for the war? Israel or Gaza?

On October 7th, it wasn’t just the terrorists who poured into Israel. There were 60,000 Gazans who are realistically accountable for what they did on October 7th. Why did Gazans pour into Israel? It is exactly the Palestinianism that resorted them to believe in the total denial of the Jewish state of Israel.

However, the world doesn’t seem to understand what is to be blamed regarding the war. Especially, the media has always blamed Israel of war crimes against humanity. However, does the denial of the people in Israel, which was put into practice on October 7th, humane? I don’t believe Israel is to be blamed for October 7th and the reason why there is a war now. I hate wars. However, I believe Israel has every right to exist. I believe the ideology Palestinianism itself must be defeated and eliminated just like Nazism.

A lot of Japanese have no idea about Palestinianism, and some seem to explain as a part of movement that is related to community-based ethnic movement. When I look at what are found in Gaza, I start to wonder why they’re so familiar with Nazism. The book “Mein Kumpf” written by Hitler has been found from almost every citizen’s home. There are books of the Holocaust denial in the university library of Gaza.

After October 7th, I clearly saw the nature of the conflict, and at the same time I was personally devastated. However, after I started to look back UNWRA and Gaza, I started to wonder why the ideology that Gazans worship is like Nazism. I clearly saw the intention of “wanting to totally clear out Israel.” It failed.

The Japanese now tend to use the term “peace” as if it had existed. Did it? Or does it? Actually, it has never existed. The Japanese needs to understand that it’s not just a textbook that exist in this world. To think of how to co-exist each other in this tiny planet and how to maintain peace has not been an easy goal to attain.

The Japanese media often receives information from the Western media, and when it comes to Israel, most of the information is from Al Jazeera, the Qatari media. This media is a clear propaganda, but there is even a symposium hosted by prominent universities like the former Imperial universities in Japan that honors Al Jazeera as “a prominent media of the world.” I had been watching Al Jazeera for decades since youth. It was clearly a very strange media to me from the beginning. It has been working as a propaganda media for the war.

Why does the Japanese media that are supposed to “promote” peace as if it were on “sale” not criticize Palestinianism even once and read out Qatari propaganda on broadcastings? Also, by the way, even the Wekipedia is wrong. As a person whom I exchange opinions on today’s news, “Free Palestine” itself is a stolen propaganda from Israelis. This is not a Palestinian slogan, which Wikipedia AI makes up and shows to people.

I hope the Japanese media studied more. I often recall the World War II, the Japan Empire, when I think of the war. The propaganda has a very scary effect. One of them is disinformation in this age. “Free Palestine” as Fusako Shigenobu, the infamous Japanese terrorists, screamed is not a slogan of the PLO. She was training with PLO in Gaza and Palestine, screaming “Free Palestine.”

“Free Palestine” was an expression used by Zionists to end British mandate. I would like to discuss Zionism in another post. In any ways, an expression is wrongfully used by young college students on campus and what the Japanese media does is to justify “Palestinianism.”

Free Palestine isn’t the ideology “Palestinianism,” which is to “clear” Israel from the land of Palestine, which was once the kingdom of Israel. Dr. Einat Wilf has discussed Nazism and Palestinianism on my podcast, as well. The university faculties are proudly lecturing referring information from Al Jazeera, the Qatari media.

I wonder if all these are humane acts by the Japanese media and the educational institutions to make stories of “Free Palestine” as if Palestinianism, which is to totally eliminate the Jewish state, were equal to “Free Palestine.” Understanding the nature of the conflict is very important. It is clearly Palestinianism that must be defeated.
