His ear to an Altar
of stones
The dreamer conceives
A gathering of stars and dust
Numerous, beyond compare
Next to him, the voices of his wives,
yet unknown
The sweetness of children bourne across
Their knees
The ragged wool of his flocks outside the tent
In the cool shelter of morning
He is restored
And a world unfurls
As oil across stone
