Shalom and the Priestly Blessing

יְבָרֶכְךָ ה’ וְיִשְׁמְרֶךָ
יָאֵר ה’ פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ וִיחֻנֶּךָּ
יִשָּׂא ה’ פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ וְיָשֵׂם לְךָ שָׁלוֹם

The Priestly Blessing concludes with the word Shalom
transmitted to the ears of the congregation
in ever-expanding waves or ripples,
to open our hearts and minds to receive G-d’s Blessing.

Receiving the Torah on Mount Sinai

When the revelation of the receiving of the Torah
occurred, Mount Sinai was aflame along with
the hearts and souls of the Jewish people.
