SOME are obnoxious…

We’re waiting in line to buy tickets for the ski-lift on Mount Hermon.

There are various options for the tickets. There are posters everywhere explaining the options and the cost. We studied them and came to a decision about what we want to buy.

In line in front of us are two women who hadn’t read the posters. They ask the cashier, a very patient man, to explain everything to them. After he finishes explaining, slowly, carefully… they begin their deliberations. After more than a minute, I asked if they would mind continuing their deliberations on the side and allow me to buy my tickets. Not surprisingly, I got screamed at. “We have the right to think about it as long as we want!” I was upset, of course, but I dropped it. I can’t win with people who behave like this. So I waited, NOT patiently…

OTHERS are wonderful…

About an hour later, at the top of the mountain, we’re taking pictures. I am enjoying what for me is still a novelty – taking a selfie with the four of us together. And then a woman offers to take a picture of us. Sure, we say. How can you refuse such a nice offer? We give her a phone and she takes control. One picture, and another, then another with the camera turned on the side, then another one from a step away, now stand here, now move there…

I have to laugh. I find this very funny and I enjoy it. We probably made her day…

Only later do I think that in some countries, if someone suggested that I give him my camera to take a picture of me, I’d probably run away… He may be a thief who wants to steal my camera!

But here, such a thought doesn’t even cross my mind…
