Perception Over Reality

People who hate Jews have a perception that does not match reality, especially when it comes to Israel. They grab hold of every negative thing they can find regardless of the lack of evidence to support any of the claims. Then spew it out as if they know more than those of us who prefer to research and know the truth about events as they happened or are happening.

There is a false perception that Israel was created by some European conquerors who had never set foot in Israel prior to her War of Independence. Most people who fought for Israeli independence never set foot in Europe, but the perception of European conquerors remains.

The Jewish people who created Israel through colonization, as the anti-Semitic and antizionist claim goes, forced all the people called Palestinians out who’d lived there for generations. They were simply minding their own business and living peacefully when the Jewish conquerors arrived from Europe to force them out.

The fact is many, not all, of the Arabs, which is what the Palestinians were all referred to at that time, chose to leave after being promised a quick victory by the Arab forces who were planning on destroying Israel before she ever got the chance to become a nation.

Those Christian and Muslim Arabs who remained, became Israeli citizens after the war. Once Israel was established as a nation, those Arabs who remained had all the same rights as any other Israeli citizen. There was no ethnic cleansing in modern day Israel of Christian and Jewish Arabs, unlike the ethnic cleansing of Jewish people from other nations.

The ethnic cleansing of Jewish people that did happen has been ignored by those consumed with Jewish hatred and all things Israel. From North Africa throughout Arabia, Jews were forced out of cities like Baghdad where they had lived for, in many cases, thousands of years. In some cases, their lineage in those cities predated Christianity.

Much of the ethnic cleansing of Jewish people predated Israel’s independence, which is why the majority of Jewish people living in what would become Israel had never stepped foot in Europe or had any ancestors who ever live there. The Nazi propaganda used to stir up hatred and force the Jewish people of all ages to flee from Arabian and Northern African nations for what would become Israel is treated as if it never happened.

Israel is accused of being an apartheid state without anyone pointing to a single law or order making it happen. In order to be an apartheid state, laws need to be written segregating the people of a given country. Legally, people are treated differently based on something as ridiculous as appearance or religious belief. Israel has never had a single law that makes them an apartheid state, but evidence does not matter to those who hate.

What Jordan did to force Arabs, those called Palestinians today, goes completely ignored. The Jordanian military, not the Israeli, was given orders by the Jordanian king to force them all out using lethal force in what has been called Black September. Everyone from children to the elderly were forced out or died at the receiving end of Jordanian bullets. It was something the IDF has never come close to doing.

Those who hide their hatred of the Jewish people by claiming they are only critical of Israel do so without being critical of any other government. There is nothing wrong with criticizing any government for legitimate reasons, but there is when the only criticism of government comes against the only Jewish state in the world. Legitimate criticism comes from an honest view of what has or is happening, not a biased view that creates false perceptions.

When was the last time someone criticized Israel and other nations equally?

There is glaring silence about the Iranian government who brutalizes their own people and spreads Shia terror throughout the world. The Iranian people suffer under their thuggish government every day, but those who are quick to criticize Israel are silent.

There is nothing said of the brutality of the Chinese government who enslaves most of their people. It is as if the ongoing genocide of Christians and Muslims is not happening at all.

To criticize only Israel is to be anti-Semitic and antizionist. To criticize Israel using falsehoods is to be anti-Semitic and antizionists. To point the sole finger of criticism at Israel without seeing wrong with any other nation is to be anti-Semitic and antizionist.

Perception is a powerful thing that can replace truth with myth and leave one clinging to myth. Perception based on hatred is even stronger and can alter world events to see what is not happening as if it is happening. When presented with real evidence of events as they actually happened or are happening, hateful perception ignores the evidence.

When the focus of hatred is on the Jewish people, by default, the focus lies on Israel. Hatred of the Jewish people does not allow for any problems to exist in the world that are not of Jewish origin. Despite the staggering evidence to the contrary of every anti-Semitic and antizionist claim, they cling to the falsehood as if their beliefs are the only ones who matter.

It is easy to give in to hatred and simply accept a false worldview. It is far more difficult to research the truth with a truly critical eye and make judgements based on honest research. If those who hate took the time to research anything with an unbiased eye, they may just learn that their entire worldview is wrong.
